Hi all,
I know I've read about this before, but I can't for the life of me find it when I try and search for it now!
So I live in the UK and am a member of Amazon UK aff

Good to know thank you

I will try and post about it once I've figured it out

There are several options. I was using EasyAzon (paid) but had to remove it, it did not work, but others are doing fine with it. Other option is Genius, the third is BestAzon there is training here at WA, search a bit.

Thank you! Now at least I know what to search for ;)

Remember, Genius is not a plugin, it is a service. This means that all your sales go through somebody's computer. I was nit comfortable with that.

Thanks. I guess the conflicting point to that is: it's not a plugin so won't slow down your site. I'll have a look into these things, at the moment I don't get enough clicks/sales to warrant a paid service, but I'm hoping that will all change soon!

I'm wanting to write a post about a new product which is due for release soon. There won't be any affiliate links now, but I'm hoping to be able to add some in the future so wa

Sounds like it's OK to use, but I would email them to get an exact response. We can only speculate!

Thanks, I'm going to email them now and put writing that post on hold until I hear back!

Best thing to do would be to email them and ask if it's alright for you to use them and tell them how you are going to use them.

If you think they would look better isolated on a white background(if they're not already) then ask them if it's ok to do so.

On these types of things it's best just to contact the company directly.

Yes, I was going to do that actually but just wondered if there was a general expectation. Thank you!

Great question

I wonder if there are any IP lawyers on WA?! I have a Bachelor of Law degree but can't say I ever paid attention to anything about this when I was at uni over 10 years ago!

Seems like if they offer something for download...ie press kit, then yes. Does the site have a terms of service page? You should be able to find your answer there.

Yes... it says "Any photos, data and specifications provided on this site are for reference only". I think this is pointing more towards the fact that they may not be exact likenesses of the finished product though?

From Googling, the consensus seems to be that if it's in a press kit then you are able to use the images as long as they are unmodified in any way. I don't want to be on the wrong side of the law though.

Then you should be ok.

Thanks for your input!

No problem, simply pm me if you need anything else.

I've been targeting low hanging fruit keywords for the last 6 months, and I've had great success with about 75% of my posts ranking on page 1 of a quoted search when I'm incogn

Hey Caroline,

If you continue to Google search your posts you will inadvertently lower the ranking of your posts. I explain that here: Here's a post showing you how to improve your Google rankings without getting penalized: http://neilpatel.com/blog/improve-google-rankings-without-getting-penalized/

Thanks! I do always click through to my site after I Google it, and always search in incognito mode, so I had assumed that wouldn't damage search results? Please correct me if that's wrong!

The Neil Patel link was interesting, I've read a few of his other posts and always learn a lot :)

When viewing you website incognito make sure to STAY on your site for awhile. If you click, view and then leave ... OR ... Google search, view where your post shows in the search result and then leave ... those are the things that hurt your website rank.

In both cases, Google spiders may assume you did NOT find what you were searching for, thus re-adjust the posts that rank for the search terms (keywords) used.

Searching WITH quotation marks tells the search engine you are looking for the EXACT term used within your quotation marks.

I think it is pointless to search ranking with quotes, because this is not real ranking. Nobody uses quotes.

Your true competition is what you get without quotes, qsr is almost meaningless.

Why you do not rank? The reason could be simple - too high qsr. I almost never go above 30. There is never any guarantee you will rank, even if qsr=0. This is a fact and I know it from my own bad examples with such a qsr and ranking on page 5 - 7. But with low qsr you have a far better chance.

Thanks, you've confirmed my suspicions. I'm going to start focusing on competition research for unquoted SERP now then. I guess once my site matures further I may improve existing rankings too but I'll come back to that later.

My targeted keywords are usually very low QSR, always less than 50, and I hope the fact I'm ranking well when quoting will help me out in the unquoted SERP once I have more domain authority etc.

I think I'm at that difficult stage where I know quite a lot about this stuff but still not enough!

Hi everyone,

Unlike Facebook, I don't use Twitter for personal use, so my question is:

Should I set up my Twitter account as a personal account (ie my own name) o

It really depends on the angle you want to take. Both can work. A personal account can help you be more "approachable", and trustworthy. A business account may look more authoritative, like you have a staff or that you are a business instead of a one-person-show.

It depends on how you want to interact with your followers.

Hey Nathaniell, If you have a minute, I have a twitter question.

I am not familiar with twitter rules.

Wouldn't we open specific accounts for each website, to tweet info about it specifically? Also, I have pen names.

I was chatting with a member that puts all his site on his personal account. What do you think is best?

Also, does twitter frown on accounts for each website? Thanks for your time.

You have choice to work with both or just one, I use personal for future brand that I build and not sure if its good or not, Twitter offers so many possibilities.

;Why not both?

So set up a personal account to act as my brand and then business to tweet about blog posts... share and retweet from business to personal? Is that overkill?

Who would I follow on each account? Personal I thought maybe other mommy/daddy bloggers, and business I would go for all the brands of the products I'm trying to sell e.g. Tommee Tippee, Philips etc?
