Create A Master Mind Group
So what exactly is a Master Mind Group? Well simply put such a group is a team of individulas that all have a common goal and desire specific results. The concept of the group is to search out and find people that complement your talents and you complement their talents.
You see, here at Wealthy Affiliates you have a huge resource that could verry easily help you to establish your very own Master Mind Group. That resource of course is your personal network, people that have followed you and the people you have followed.
Of course building that network is fun, the concept of finding people to follow and then following them has made Mr. Zuckerberg (of Facebook fame) a millionaire many times over. But social media can have a more positive impact on you in the business sense. I have friends that spend literally hours a day on their facebook accounts reading and posting and sharing what their "virtual friends" have deemed relevant to the rest of the world and posted on their home pages. Not to mention you have all these friends.
The resource that I would lie to specifically address here today as I said is your network of followers and those that you follow. Now in that sense everyone desires to have more friends, whether it be on Facebook or even here at Wealthy Affiliate. But a friend by definition is someone who has a value to another. In other words there is a difference between a "friend" and an "acquaintance"
The Oxford Dictionary defines Friend as, "a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically exclusive of sexual or family relations." So we are not talking about your mother, your father, your brother, your sister, or your lover here. Just someone that you have a mutual bond with.
On the other hand the Oxford Dictionary defines acquaintance as, "a person one knows slightly, but who is not a close friend:" No close bond or real emotional involvement there.
So as you begin to build your list of friends, and I am not saying that you should not expand your personal network in social media, but assign a value to the friends that you acquire. Read the profiles of those that you are choosing to follow, and then make a short list of the ones that you feel are more in line with your values, those that may have expereince that you lack, and note also what they lack, so you may add value back to them.
Now here at Wealthy Affiliate most people here have a common objective, to build their online business, and that is most likely your objective also. Most members are willing to help and to coach others by answering comments in the live chat, and this is an awesome resource that allows for the open exchange of information. I have both posted questions in the live chat, and even responded to a few requests for help in the minimal areas that I have some knowledge in being somewhat of a novice myself here. And most questions are answered in the attitude of paying it forward. You see I personally many years ago in my life adopted the concept of the late great motivational speaker Zig Ziglar that, "you can get anything you want out of life, if you simply help enough other people get what they want."
When you do that you are well on your way to achieving greatness in your chosen path.
Now back to the Master Mind Group concept and how you can use your network to establish a caring team that will be useful to you in your pursuit.
You should seek out 5-10 people that are like minded and share your passion, and you must also share theirs. These people when appraoched with the idea of forming a group, as long as they will also receive some benefit will most likely be receptive to thee idea.
For example, some people are great at thinking up concepts, while others might be superior at searching and evaluating keywords, some might be accomplished in their writing skills, some might be good at the site design aspect of the business. The point is that each mmember of the Group has something specific to bring to the table, and will receive some other value from their association with the group.
If you understand this concept you can get your ideas from concept to reality so much faster, and produce a much better result. The person that thinks they know everything about evverything is often proved wrong, so know your strengths, as well as your weaknesses, Empower your strengths, and embrace your weaknesses by having others that are far more experienced offer constructive criticism and advice. Together we are powerful, and teamwork is vital to success, it is key.
You are in business for yourself, but not by yourself, so why not begin by seeking out your team, receive value from each and every member, and give value back in kind. Great post on mastermind groups. We all need this to succeed and take things to the next level, and that's one of the great things about the community here at Wealthy Affiliate. It truly is a mastermind group.
How true Darren, but so many people are unaware of the concept that if we simply joined together in small groups and each was devoted to helping the other members of the group that we all would prosper. That, in my opinion, is really what this community is all about.
