So im starting to write my first article during training. my niche is man cave ideas/decor. my first article is man cave ideas on a budget. so what im thinking is writing each
Hello again - you actually have to apply to join an affiliate program such as Amazon. When you have been accepted you pick the product you wish to promote. You are then given a special link that contains your ID to put on your website. If a customer clicks the link and buys something you get the commission.
Should I be adding links for products to buy in my article ?

Diane has it pretty much covered ... also know that affiliate programs and networks you apply to will be looking for a content-rich website with some established traffic.
So it's probably a little premature at this point to be looking at monetizing your blog posts with affiliate links.
