Please go to this page and click on the text link and the image link and let me know just how screwed up I am.

By the way. Thanks so much for everyone who is trying to he

Yea. I am getting a lot of feedback implying the link is defective. Going to try a different link. If it works then I will know that it's not me that's nuts. I'm usually pretty good at this computer thing. I'll let you know.

Thanks for the help.

Hey Travis, where are you getting the link from? Which affiliate if you don't mind me asking. I could help you better if I know and mess with it myself.

Sam Ash

Try going back to the place where you got the link from and copy it into Wordpad before you copy it into your post. If the link works on the site you got it from, there must be a tiny mistake when you are copying it into your post.
Hope this helps!
-Kathy

Thanks. I will try that.

The text link has some incorrect HTML code in it:

The
Kay Vintage Reissue K161V Thin Twin Hollowbody Electric Guitar (Cherry Sunburst)"> K161 Kay Thin Twin
electric guitar was originally introduced in 1952 and was known as the “Jimmy Reed” or “Howlin’ Wolf” model.

The portion that reads href="http:// <a href="click.linksynergy.....

has the duplicated code href="http:// (before the second

Thanks. Not up to the HTML language. I will tray another link and see what happens. I just love this guitar and wanted to get it out there.

That link is no good Charles

that image is the "image not found", image. check the src="imageurl" section.
Make sure you can copy that out and find the image.

For example if the image is in the images folder after the root of example.com

src="example.com/images/1.jpg"

can you copy whats in the quotes of your src= and paste in your browser and find the image?
EG: example.com/images/1.jpg

Your src="" might also be using a relative url
or "/images/1.jpgs"
links starting with the "/" usually tell the server "after root/home/etc"
which is fine but if you are pasting make sure to include the example.com in front of /

Wordpress uploaded images go into an upload folder:
if your images are actually in the uploads folder src="http://www.example.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/1.jpg"
or
src="/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/1.jpg"

The term for http:/www.example.com/images/1.jpg or /images/1.jpg is absolute and relative url:

Oh boy. I'm going to have to absorb this. I'll let you know how it works out.

Thanks

Charles do have things worked out?

I'll let you know in a little while. Just got off work and digging in.

Thanks

Can you show it?

What do you need to see?

This is the code I am trying to insert. On a text link it does not link even though the text is highlighted. As a product link, which this is. all it shows is the code on my si

Ok, let me ask this. I know it is probably buried in the agreement with the affiliate somewhere, but are we allowed to copy the description text from the affiliate and paste it into our page along with the image?

I noticed that Kyle sniped the entire image and text from Amazon on his mixer. Just wondering if that is allowed.

yes you can use their advertising text in most cases. To be safe, you might want to modify it a bit so it's not word for word. Unless you read in their terms that it is okay.

A couple of more questions. How do I link the image to the affiliate site and how do I link text in my article/blog to the affiliate site? It looked pretty easy when Kyle did it but now that I remember, he always uses text links.

The image already contains your affiliate link. It's a clickable image. In your affiliate area there should be an option to use a text link for the product.
But I took the code you previously gave and removed the image part and added text:

Just replace the click here words with any words you want. I can't display it here because it has a ? in it. I'll see if I can PM it to you.

Ok. Thanks. I will follow up later. Bed time for Bonzo until this thing takes off. 12 hour days have to be eliminated.

Ok. That was cool. The image now shows. All it shows is the image. How do I get the affiliate description and specs to show as well?

This is an image link - not a text link - the image is a guitar - go to the page or post you want this image link, switch to "text" mode in the editor and place the image link where you want, update the page or post - then you can preview your page or post and see how things look

Where do I inset on the text tab? It's full of code in and of it's self? In the meantime, I will try and see where I think it should go. Thanks

attached you will see the text tab

It's an image link. It's not meant to link to text. If you paste the code into the test tab then look at the visual tab you will see an image of a guitar

I have watched the videos several times. I am doing exactly as directed, however the links are not working. What am I doing wrong?

If you show screenshot of a link which you use it will be easier to help. Show how you use it.

Make sure that it starts with http and nothing in front of it when you use it in Visual, otherwise add it in Text mode.

It must be some simple mistake. I had the same issue when I started and somebody guided me.

Charles I answered you on the blog post. Holler back if you need more help.

not working how? What happens when you click them?
