But I know Colton was saying that he gets comments until he naturally starts getting comments, then he quits. I've found this to be true as well, but that can be a lot of comments.
I've asked Colton, but never got a response back.

But that was my initial thought as well, to get 5 comments per post and my responses would make 10. As I have 70+ posts to request comments for, GOOD LORD do I have my work cut out for me in regard to getting comments to those old posts. I even thought of just doing it for all posts going forward, and updating the old ones over the course of the year.
You definitely don't want to overwhelm yourself. I find that I like to check my rank for those posts and see if they're worth adding extra comments to them before I put in the effort. Kyle's direct comment to me was get 4-5 comments and then move on to creating more content. If you are targeting low competition keywords, Kyle's theory should work pretty well. If you are targeting more competitive keyword phrases, then you're going to need more social shares and comments.
Thanks for your input. I am actually targeting low competition keywords for certain. You're right I don't want to overwhelm myself, I have so many ideas and it's just one me lol! But I think that 2017 will be all about scaling and maintaining my first and main site, and from there diversifying in the latter part of 2017. I'm too excited. How about you my friend?

Well of course! I have some 70+ posts that I need to obtain comments for, so I know that I have my work cut out for me.
When using the Sit Comment feature, I ask for 1 and often get more than 1.
What I do is look at my Google Webmaster Tools and look for articles that could use a little ranking boost and ask for more comments on those posts.

Answer: The more, the better!
Seriously, real, thoughtful and thorough comments are hard to get, and the more of them you do get, the more credit and validation you are receiving for posts and pages that have merit. I am usually pleased to see 4 to 5 comments, which, after my responses (always respond!) adds up to 8 to 10. But some of my posts have gotten dozens of comments, and those ones are the posts I feel the best about, because they obviously not only drew attention, they delivered value to the readers and inspired commentary and discourse
Thank you for this. I try my best to give my all with my writing, and I look forward to one day generating enough traffic to gain some organic comments, I do get them here and there.

I had a steady stream of traffic, about 50 -75 visitors per day for months, with the 50 visitors being a low average.

I saw my ranking from from 1.1.2million to 9 million in 1 week...it's struggling back up now but it's a hard climb....I noticed that every time I now post to G+ I notice a slight shift upwards. So I reckon a recent change in Google algorithm might have impacted your ranking or traffic
Hi Christian, if you write your content based on low fruit keywords, you'll get ranked sooner or later and also you need to know that some posts get ranked faster than others. Be more active in social networks like G+ and FB and try to increase your followers. They'll bring extra traffic into your website till you get good rank on Google. The most important thing in my opinion is that try to write quality content on a REGULAR BASIS. It's something that definitely help you a lot.

as of today, I have reached the 100 posts to my website milestone. However, I think/feel that my level of traffic for that many posts is quite low. Somewhere between 50 - 115
I got 300+ visitors a day with 5 posts. I focused a lot in social media instead of content so thousands of people.
I hit 10k traffic month with 6 posts that then I sold to a user in that niche since the traffic was automatically flowing
That's impressive. I plan to go over the social media training again and focus on that as well in the coming year.

I think this really depends on a lot of things.
It depends on the terms that your posts are targeting, the niche you are in. It depends on how long your site has been around.
It depends on how google ranks your site based on a number of criteria.
I think it's hard to say what an average amount would be because there are so many factors in play.
But to give you some perspective (and maybe others can chime in to give you more to compare with), one of my websites was averaging 47 unique visitors per day when it had around 100 posts. An average of 0.5 unique visitors per post.
A year after that it was averaging 650 unique visitors per day (and had 250 posts). That's an average of 2.6 unique visitors per post. So my average per post users went up by more than 5 times.
And it wasn't the new posts that were getting all the new traffic. Some of my original posts were contributing to a lot of that traffic increase. Once you get more authority I think google rewards old posts too. Though keep in mind that I went back and updated those old posts too. Also that I was always consistently releasing new posts and getting plenty of comments (not from sitecomments but organic comments).
Now that my authority has built I am currently averaging around 1600 unique visitors per day and have around 300 posts. An average of 5.33 unique visitors per post.
I guess what I'm trying to say (in a long winded way :-) ) is that your average visitor per post can go up once your site is ranking well. But that's not to say that your average visitor per post is bad at all - in fact it's well above what mine was when I had 100 posts.
Hope this give you some perspective, but like I say it's pretty hard to say what "average" is.
Yes sir, you touched on all of the points that I were thinking about regarding my personal efforts, you pretty much echoed my thoughts.
Like you said, I figured many factors come into play, from keyword selection to niche, so I'd imagine traffic would vary in that aspect.
Now as far as your daily traffic, that's very impressive! And thank you for your response, as hearing from someone who has been where I am in a sense, gives me some relief. I'll keep posting in any case.

You can do tutorials and end with WA. I saw someone else who used this process... The idea is to share your expertise and provide a service to others to create an attraction and to enhance your brand...

I think it depends on what you are reviewing. On my site the topic is pet nutrition, so the products I recommend I thoroughly research so I don't compare a list. I give my best recommendations and detail why.
I tend to do the same with my music production reviews, but so many of those products can be compared. I'll stick to the single reviews. Thanks for your comment!
The products I review are software. For me, I think it's easier to investigate one product than a slew of products. So, I go with a singular reviews. I'm thinking about doing comparison reviews as I review more products. However, that'll have to come after the single reviews and will be more of a follow-up.

For physical products, you would likely focus on a fairly specific keyword phrase which would mean one specific product but, you could always give your readers the opportunity to look at other product reviews on your site.
You can also do a "Ten Best" or "Top Ten" in some situations. Testing is a big part of this business :)
