Hi everyone,

As I'm new to all of this - I've been doing hours (literally) of research - and couldn't quite figure it out.

I live in Australia and I know it's sligh

As far I know, and correct me if I am wrong, Amazon is also in Australia now and you could sign up to become an amazon associate where you can promote books on your site.

Here is a link I also found online perhaps this could help you what you have in mind.

Hi everyone,
I've been working on my self development blog which has made a lot of progress so far, and I am at a point where I really would like to start monetizing it.

Hi,
Udemy.com might help you out, they have thousands of online education courses in which you can promote as an affiliate.

They offer lots of free courses in which you still get paid for referrals, this helps you build trust with your readers, They also offer monthly promo codes for money off courses.

You can join udemy through https://rakutenmarketing.com/affiliate

hope this helps, I shall follow you :)

Hi there - thank you so much! I'll have a look into it now :) I appreciate your help.

Hello, I am currently running a self-development blog as well.

I am writing about meditation, the law of attraction among other subjects.

I did a little research a couple of weeks back and I realized that there are a few ways to monetize it.

You could promote relative books and courses. You could offer an e-book that you wrote for free to expand your e-mail list.

You could even write a book and sell it on amazon.

You could join Clickbank and browse self-development related products, test them, and write reviews. If you e-mail their producers, they might give you free access without needing to pay for them.

I hope this helps...

Hey thanks so much for your response!
I was thinking of offering an e-book, as I'm in the process of writing a book also.
I'll definitely take it all into consideration.
Wishing you all the best with your endeavors :)

Hi there,
I have created an Amazon Associates account.
The link I created did not work (I followed the steps from one of the videos) and I'm just really confused..

<

The WA Affiliate link and an Amazon link are something completely different.

My suggestion would be is to just follow the training as all you need to know and do is explained in detail n there.

Let me know if this helps.

Okay, I'll try that. Thank you :)

By training do you mean the Certification Courses?

WA Affiliate links are completely separate from Amazon links.

I just realised how silly this question was. I just figured that out too! Lol thank you for your help Chris :)

"How do I activate the WA Affiliate link to the Amazon link? " This is confusing. These two things are not related.

We are all rookies, no worry, one step at a time.

From Amazon you can have a text link, image or both.

Make sure your link starts with http only if you add it as a text link.

Show screenshot of what is not working and then you will surely get help.

Thanks :)

Hi everyone,

So I'm very new to the whole blogging/ website creation.

I signed up for a Google AdSense account and this is what's come up:

Thank you for your

If your site is brand new then you might need to add more content to it. Have you got a contact page, about page and a privacy policy page + some content on there?

AdSense needs to see that the site is active and maintained to be approved.

Thank you Chris!

I would not be concerned too much. You need to have tons of traffic to earn something with it. Build your site and try later again. They will approve you when/if you have some traffic in your site.

Yeah, AdSense typically is tough to get into. To be honest, it isn't worth the effort on a new site anyway. You need to have pretty high traffic for the income to be worth it.

That's one of the key reasons that WA focuses on affiliate marketing, as there is more income potential early on.

I appreciate this thank you.

Dear Crystal, that's normal and isn't strange at all.
there're several reasons that your application may be rejected by Google and since you're new that's probably because your site is new and does not include enough content to be eligible in Google Adsense eyes. Google checks if you've enough content (sometimes traffic) on your site to run Google ads.

I recommend you continue to build your site and add content as much as possible. After 2 weeks (1 month is the best in my opinion ), Reapply again and probably you'll be accepted.

Feel free to contact me if I can help you with anything else )

Best,
Ali

Thanks Ali - makes so much more sense to me now. I was gettng a bit worried. Thank you.

Hi Ali, I too got rejected months back and i gaveup but mine was a blog i ve had for years not website, is that the reason? Can i use my website here for adsense if not where do i create an adsense website?

Hi Milar, that can't be the reason and there is no difference between blog and website in Google eyes when you're applying for adsense. The main reason is that, guys who started this business are excited to see some result fast and adsense is the easiest way to do that so they apply at the beginning when their site created recently with no enough content/traffic and it's something that Google does not like.
Of course you can reapply and if you've worked on your blog after the first rejection and filled it up with many content regularly, you'll be probably accept this time.
I personally applied for adsense after 2,3 months when I've run my site and there were enough content and there was no issue with accepting. (although I don't have any plan to use it soon now! :D )

Best,
Ali

I am receiving a similar message, but is it for the same reason as discussed here? How many contents are optimum for the acceptance of Google Adsense?

However, I am getting a slightly different message. The message says I have another AdSense account, though I never open any such account in the past.

The message I am receiving is as follows (Please see the attachments for details):

"You already have an AdSense account

Thanks for your interest in AdSense. Did you know you already have another AdSense account that you could use?
AdSense only allows one account per person. To get started with AdSense, you can either:

1. Continue using your existing account, associated with s...@gmail.com. If you can’t access this account, follow the steps in our login troubleshooter.

or

2. Close your other account(s) by following the steps in the Help Center article Cancel your AdSense account, and then try signing in again."

The ones enumerated may not be the reasons why your account was disapproved. They are just follow up reminders, as I can see with them. You must figure out what is really the reason why your application was rejected.

By the way, I am also an AdSense publisher.

Thank you, much appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I have researched this topic a fair bit recently and I'm just a little confused still.

So I live in Australia, I'm not sure if there's a universal cop

You can re-post it, don't worry you won't get into any trouble,

A lot of people worry about these kind of things but the copyrighting laws online are getting looser and looser so you have nothing to worry about.

You can credit the source with a link if you wish but that's not necessary either.

Just my thoughts. :) Hope all is well.

Chris Lee

Thanks Chris! Appreciate it :)

If the image is available for creative commons use, then yes, you could repost it. Because you added your own quote, it is not a copy of the original, but make sure the base image is free to use.

Thank you for that! :)
