I'm bringing a website back to life. I have comments stored up that came in up to 8 months ago. Can/should I still use them? If not how far back would be ok?
I would keep them as the search engines are looking for length of time for the domain in rating the expertise in the site.
Comments of any sort should look good to google. Old comments say your site has been around for awhile so I'd think they'd be fine to use. From there get some new comments to show that it is still relevant.
Just my 2 cents, hope it helps.

I'm having trouble with my galanight theme header menu. I want 4 page titles in a row. It only will let me do 3 and 1 below. Any Ideas?

is there anything to watch out for? Should it even be done? Thanks for your help!
Not really. Websites with a blog roll tend to rank a little higher because with each blog entry, the Home Page will update and that makes Google happy because they like new content.
But it is a personal choice. I use a blog roll because it makes it easier for my website visitors and for Google, to see that my website is posting current and new information.

Does it hurt your website changing from blogroll to static?

Can you add content or correct grammar to your post if its already published? Does this help or hurt your rankings?
It's always good to go over old posts especially reviews. Sometimes a product has changed price, or is no longer available so you should keep a check on that.
You can also check and see if there are any internal links you can add. As you add more content to your site there are more opportunities to do this (Google likes internal links).
You also get better at writing as you go forward and think of ways you can improve your posts, as others have said, Google likes this. :)

is it bad to change keywords in a post that's already published?
]Yes you absolutely can.
However you should not change the keywords in the tittle that are shown in the permalink. (URL)
Although I have found that even though it is a good idea to do this to posts that are not doing well in the SERP's you should not change the keyword or keyword phrase that you were originally targeting when you created the content.
Instead try finding a new keyword or keyword phrase that relates to what the original post was about because this will in turn help the other slightly in ranking better.
Keep in mind though that simply adding the new keyword /keyword phrase you want to rank for as a new Tag for that post can lead to that post ranking well for that Keyword.
Again the keyword or phrase should be similar or at least relate to the original keyword that the post was created around.
But Ultimately it is your site and you can do with it how you see fit just be sure that you don't cause a 404 error by changing the permalink. If so make sure to do a 301 redirect or something similar.
See what Kyle answered on my question about title Can the title of the post or page be changed?
As long as you change the permalink properly, then it's no problem to update a post that has been published.
It's a great idea to help the posts that aren't doing so well get ranked better.
C
No you can do that. If you are changing the title, you may want to change the URL as well. Just remember the old URL will not work anymore. But changing the keywords you used is not a problem.
