Keeping Busy
Her favorite question is "Why?" and I always try to have an answer to her question even if it's just simply, "I don't know. It's the way God wanted it." She's the light of my life. I never knew that being a grandmother would fill me with so much love and joy.
Cheyenne is her name and she's three. I must stay busy today to keep my mind off her surgery that she is having in the morning. Her mom and dad are nervous as it is, so no matter how worried I am inside, on the outside I must appear calm.
She snores; sometimes very loudly. The doctor at the children's hospital said that her tonsils are extremely large and are probably the source of her snoring. So tomorrow Cheyenne will have her tonsils and adnoids taken out.
I know this surgery is nothing to really worry about, but she will be put to sleep and I know that there is always a risk of anything happening when put under anthesia. I've been put to sleep too many times to not know this.
Anyway, I have put her in God's hands and trust Him to watch over my darling Bookie. That's my pet name for her. I'm sharing this because WA is a caring community that I feel I can share my personal concerns with also. Keep y Cheyenne in your thoughts and prayers, please. I appreciate you reading my short but simply post.

Strange
All kids ask the same question
Why?
Very strange.
They all need meaning and understanding
🥰
PS
Be careful with the eating, no hard stuff like apples. Can cause unnoticed bleeding... my bro almost died from.it... all blood wEnt in his stomach... so keep eye on what she eats..
I love this post Charlotte! She's a lucky little girl to have such a loving and concerned family and Grandmother. When my boy was 3 he needed to have his tonsils and adenoids removed as well. He was just fine and enjoyed jello and ice cream and tons of attention following the procedure. It's a bit rough getting over it but I'm sure there will be lots of love and hugs to smother her with while the healing continues. Be calm and think only the best things today!
Thanks John. She's so full of life and fun to be with except when she's sleepy or you wake her up from her nap before she's ready. Then she is a grouch!lol Cheyenne is also looking forward to mash potatoes, too.

Dear Charlotte...if she snores and is sleep deprived it could explain the grumpiness etc....hopefully they check her out for Sleep Apnea after she recovers and continues to snore!

Grandchildren are great...if I knew how good they were, I would have had them first! By the way, Great-grands are also great!

Dear Charlotte!
Iam 58 years old and I remember having this exact surgery at age 4....I remember every minute of the experience....the loveliest part was when my mom brought my own kitty-cat pajamas to wear post-op....rather than that drafty-in-the-back number!
I still snore...I have an extremely narrow airway...sleep apnea machine and the whole bit...main thing that it helped with immediately was that my Eustachian Tubes drained and I could now hear properly!
She will be looked after...she is in the right hands!
Barb
Thanks Barb.
