Clearing Cache

Someone suggested that I might need to clear my cache. That it might be the possible cause of not being able to submitt comments on others websites and post. I don't know how to do this, so I googled it and from what I understood, which I probably misinterpreted, it would clear everything. I have not backed up my website because I don't know how to do this either. Is there a tutorial on this or can someone explain it to me in the simpliest way possible. I would certainly appreciate it. I'd hate to lose everything after almost going bald getting what I have, done.

Have a blessed ressed of the week

Hi Charlotte,
Go to Websites in the panel to your left. click on Site Manager, Click on Details, scroll down and you will see Clear Cache. Click it.
I use the updraft plugin, it is ok. Install it, Do a back up then deactivate it. until the next time you want to use it.
To clear the cache from your day to day computer use. Follow what accd has said.
Best
Michael.

Thank you Michael for the help.

On your computer at the right top corner, you see your profile picture, you will also see three dots next to your picture, click that, then click the "More Tools", click the "Clear the Browsing Data".

You can clear your website cache from WA in your website information section. There's a button for it. :)

I read that too. Like you I was going to do a little research how to clear cache, just to reassure you, it will not clear your website posts, or anything to do with Wordpress, just your history and the stuff that has been saved inadvertently.

Yes back up is essential, there are several plugins, several of the trusted old timers on WA to use recommended me to us “updraft pluss Bsckup/Restore”, I am sure there is a tutorial by one of them. So back up every time you do an upgrade (at least) or before you delete anything essential. Once done you can deactivate your plugin, ready to activate for its next use. 🤗 I have used this many times to back up and am assured in the event of worst case scenario it is just as easy to restore you website... 👍

Great information, Cordelia! I need to check out that updraft plug-in! Thanks!

Jeff

Thanks Cordelia for your help. I had no idea. I will definitely check out that plugin.

Have a blessed weekend
Charlotte
