So I figured I would check the Google Search Console today and noticed that my SiteMap is saying 0 URLs submitted. Was not like that last time I checked. SO i resubmitted my Si

It is actually the one from the training. Google XML Sitemaps. Never had an issue before as I checked a few days ago and everything is fine. Now nothing there.

strange. I use Yoast SEO as I like their options better and it comes with a strong sitemap. What happens when you click the link inside of the plugin for your sitemap, try putting the full address of your site with the sitemap.xml at the end of it to see if anything comes up

I tried that and still nothing. The entire file is now blank! Never had any problem like this before. And the plugin is up to date as well.

To be honest I have never dealt with that. Other than completely deleting the plugin and reinstalling it I am at a lost here

Actually that is what I was just thinking and I am going to try doing that.

Well I tried deleting and uninstalling plugin, didn't work. Tried another plugin, same issue. It seems that the XML file for the sitemap contains no URL's. When I tried a different plugin, it was able to create an HTML file but same issue with XML. I wonder what is blocking the URLs?

the only thing that comes to mind is that your robot.txt file is blocking it somehow. Either there is a setting in the seo plugin that you are using and it somehow it got clicked. Maybe try Yoast SEO and see what happens or set your Seo plugin back to defaults

I read about that as well that a robot txt file could be blocking it. I haven't changed anything in my all in one SEO recently but I will give that a look. Thanks for the heads up!

curious what plugin are you using for your sitemap

Hi Chris! I’ve recently written a review of VigLink, you can check it out here:
https://smartaffiliatesuccess.com/viglink-review/

Great review on it and you actually answered most of my questions there. This is something that I may revisit in the future. I don't think that my traffic is large enough to make this any value to me. Plus, one of your cons, I would rather have control at the moment as to where my links are being placed. I try to keep my articles affiliate link free and redirect from those to the reviews that contain affiliate links.

I saw that they take a 25% commission and I guess depending on if they find the highest commission this can work. Most of the programs I have seen in my niche are around 6-7% and if I can earn that on my own without them taking 25% of that, I'll take my chances on my own for now.

Thanks for the review! I will keep this in mind.

You're welcome! Glad that this helps :)

Most reviews negative consider cut and run! https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/viglink.com

I am keeping this deactivated. Some of the cons in Jerry's review were reasons I had deactivated in the first place, the biggest for me being control. I want to have control over where and what pages my affiliate links are on. Thanks!

Hello! I submitted my sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools a few days ago and today I noticed there was a warning for one page. When I dug in I found it was a sitemap error for my

You don't have to worry so much about this. Google bot will revisit your site and find it. There is a link to it in your footer, it's the same as the page you provided. You checked the no follows are okay. You can mark it as solved and continue to sparkle! Thank you for asking this question and have a wonderful day!

Thank you so much for the help Anja! Just wanted to make sure as I just set up Google Webmaster and wanted to make sure that wasn't a big deal.

You're very welcome. I remember the first time I saw the same thing and I thought it was a huge issue. It really wasn't. Have a great day!

I am kind of surprised I didn't really think of this until the other day. I have about 16 articles up, all with pics, and I never really optimized my images. I do not see any p

It is installed automatically and set-up properly upon you activating the plugin and your site. And yes, you definitely can bulk optimize, it never hurts to further optimize images.

However, if you are using SiteContent to create and publish your content, it automatically compresses ALL of your images using the most advanced technology available for doing this.

One of the many benefits of using SiteContent to create and publish your content, not to mention the 1+ MILLION images you have access to there to use in any way that you like.

I did not even realize that I could have added my images in site content and have just been adding them in wordpress after I post my articles. Just saw I could do that the other day when someone pointed out the free images there. Thank you for pointing that out as I will add my images there from now on!

Thanks a bunch Kyle!

Please let us know your findings. This sounds interesting

Did you look at this post? Might help you out.

I was reading another tutorial on it but the setup looked outdated. I just started getting feedback from Google Webmaster Tools and everything i looking fine there, so not sure if I needed to do anything yet. But I also don't want it to get out of hand if I have to remove, optimize, and re-upload images.

So I decided to add a site logo today and after fiddling around with the size to get it where I want, I noticed that my margins have so much white space and I was wondering if

Does your theme specify or suggest a size for the logo?

What theme are you using, and can you attach a screenshot in your reply here of the header area. I will take a look. ~Jude

I am using the Heiro theme. When I go into appearance -> customize -> general in my back office, upload logo does not give size options like the other icons I could add. I read from another user the max width was 980 and I did that and had to tinker with the height till it looked fine. Funny thing is on my PC laptop I have a lot of white in my margins. Interestingly it is like that in WA right now as I type this. On my Mac laptop, which has a smaller screen, the margins are not as noticeable. I tried shrinking the width but it just knocks my logo off center. I will leave you a link to my site and let me know what you think about the margins. Could just be my PC somehow.

Thanks!

Chris

It looks fine on my 17 inch screen. See my Screenshot.

It scales down perfectly for mobile.

The only white space I see is what needs to be there.

~Jude

Thanks! Just wanted to get a second opinion on that!
