Hey
I've been trying to figure out how to hide my tags, with out having to delete them?

When I publish a blog post all the tags show up under the title....

Do y

Okay Christina,

Go to your WordPress dashboard

1. Click on or hover over "Post" => Click on "Tag" => Click on "Count" => You should have a tag count on your right hand side and I believe it is your top one that will have all of your tags listed by number.

2. Delete any tags that you don't want by placing a "0" on them.

See if that works for you.

Pete Weaver

Okay so I went to the Tag count and tried placing a 0 on them... but it wouldn't let me edit the number?
It only gives the options to edit Name, Slug and Description.
I'm starting to think it is the theme... I might have to change it.
Thanks for the suggestion, much appreciated!

Hey Christina,

You have not mentioned where your tags are being displayed from that you wish to be removed.

If the are in your website sidebar, all you need to do is to go to Appearances > Widgets > find the Tag Cloud, mouseover, click the left-hand sidebar when on your Tag Cloud and then simply drag 'n drop it to the far left. It's that simple. See 2nd screen print below...

If it is in your footer, then check your sub footer areas under your Widgets and follow the same directions as above.

If you are referring to the list of tags that may be being displayed below EVERY post, then a simple Google search should help you find the steps you need to take. See 1st screen print below...

Then if you cannot find previously posted help topics for this issue, you can go to the developer's WordPress page (see 3rd screen print), click on the support forum button, and submit a ticket asking for help with this. The developer will be sure to respond to help you.

Hope you find this helpful.

Have you asked inside the LIVE chat yet?

Can you give your site URL so we can see what you mean.

yes here is a link to a recent blog post... all the tags are listed under the title.. https://christinaspohr.info/how-to-promote-a-business-on-instagram

Ok, but is your theme called Think Up Themes - Ultimate ecommerce shop

Yes it is.

But you told Pete Weaver it was called Ryan Grid
It can't be both

Ryan Grid this the theme and it is Developed by Think Up Themes Ltd....

I tried the theme and put in some tags and then put those tags in a word cloud widget.

okay, I'll try that! thanks!

Which theme are you using?

I had the Twenty Thirteen them that displayed all the tags underneath the title. At first, I didn't like that but the theme was so beautiful that I couldn't part from it. If you don't want them, you might have to change out your theme.

Tags, years ago were very popular and in fact, you can tell how popular a topic is just by looking at the size of the topic keywords that are being tagged.

You can place a tag cloud on your sidebar if you want. You'll find it in your Appearance => Widgets => Tag Cloud.

That reminds me though, I need to place a tag cloud on my site too. 😊

Pete Weaver

The theme is Ryan Grid

Take a look and see if you have a theme option. It might be an on and off toggle switch. I did noticed on the preview at Word Press .org that this particular theme was designed for tags.

You have a very nice website and it has a lot of good stuff on it already. I know the tags are cluttering your page but they are okay.

You'll have to see what kind of response you get from your visitors.

Pete Weaver

Okay, I was thinking the same thing... Thank you for letting me know this!

Thank I really appreciate that that's very kind of you! Ok will give it a try and see what visitors think

tags are great for telling the search engines what your content is about, so they are a definite must. It doesn't matter whether they display, it just shows users you are organised.

John

I understand they are important... but I don't like how it looks.. it makes the blog post look cluttered up top. I've seen other blogs that don't have them... and I know they have seoed a post.

They are supposed to show its fine

I used the regular wp subscriber form that hooks up to Aweber but it does not seem to be working-I can retrieve the code but the list wont load.

Does anybody else use Aw

Hi Wa family, at what stage do I put in Aweber plugin

Hey! I got this article from @MKearns and it gave me 17 Wordpress plugins from Aweber. This helped me, see if it helps you!
https://blog.aweber.com/email-marketing/wordpress-plugins-for-email-marketers.htm

I would like to know what is an Aweber !?

Aweber provides bulk email and autoresponse services, many members use it or a similar service to send out email newsletters, for example. :) www.aweber.com

thank you for that...will have a look at this =)

You're most welcome! :)

I have been with Awber for 3 years, tried MailChimp and GetResponse. I have found personally Aweber works the best for me.

Thanks for the information...will definitely look it up.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW TOO

I don't know if you saw but below @MKearns shared a helpful article with 17 WP plugins. See if this helps you it helped me. https://blog.aweber.com/email-marketing/wordpress-plugins-for-email-marketers.htm

thank you very much

I agree, add it from aweber.

I've actually found that adding Aweber's own php into post.php which puts a subscription form at the bottom of every post has resulted in the most signups.

I ended up doing that. I just wished it popped out more or was more customization within Aweber I could not do much editing.

Yup, unfortunately Aweber is limited in that regard, the only way to tweak it is via writing a bit of css.

Here are several Christina. Have fun! https://blog.aweber.com/email-marketing/wordpress-plugins-for-email-marketers.htm

I will have to go through and see which one works best. That was very helpful! Thanks you!

Sumo seems to be the big one people use around here. I do, too. It's got a ton of options.

Okay sweet thanks, I will check it out!

It's worth bearing in mind that if you're not grandfathered in to the unlimited free Sumo plugin, that you have to pay for it once you get more than 1000 visits a month. It's not cheap either, the first tier is $29 a month for just 5000 visits a month. https://sumo.com/pricing
It can also slow your site down, as free members go to the back of their servers queue for loading.

Thanks for the info, I will keep this in mind.

Just joined the aweber. This question is really useful to me.

I am glad that someone else was wondering the same thing!

Have try SumoMe plugin you can integrated it with Aweber

Sweet thanks for the the info I will look at it!
