If your account has not been approved, no ads will be displayed.
I would suggest to wait till you get your account approved before paste the code on your site.

If you think it's too long for them to respond, reach them and ask the status of your application.

Google is not our friend. They don't give new sites any trust no matter what your content is. It's like a big crap shoot. Only the one's that throw a lot of money at google don't get denied. Just my observation.

I’ve been approved once and declined twice on different websites and both of my rejections were because of not enough content. I’m not sure if the exact words they used but that was pretty much it for me.

ive had some affiliates and ad sense disapprove me for the lamest of reasons. saying i have bad content. political, inappropriate, racial, ect. none of witch i have. its like in being told "NO" and the reason is "i dont know"
my mother raised to with the understanding that i dont know is not a reason

Maybe you should at the bottom of their site to see what theme they are using... if they are using a free Wordpress them....

Like Hennie says, it's the choice of our theme that make the difference. And sometime it's hard to find one that will completely satisfy us.

Hi, Cassandra. The moving banners, as you call it is something that your theme allows you to do. They call it sliders. You will have to go to Appearance and Customize in the back office of your site. You will be able to configure it there. Look at the help documents from your theme how to go about it.

All website themes have different 'abilities'. It is just a matter of finding a website theme that offers all the features you want. Also, sometimes you can find plugins that will add some of the features you are looking for. But having too many plugins will slow down a website, and that's not a good thing.

If you are just starting out and don't have money to spend, you may be limited on website features. Many website themes you can pay to purchase the 'full' release version of the them which will give you more options to use when building your website.

You can also go online and buy premium themes. This can cost at little bit, but premium themes have a lot of features and tend to run smoothly too. I like to use themes developed by THRIVE.

You should be able to check the menu category on the left hand side where you edit your post and then it will show up under your menu when you update it.
