Week 1: SAC was a Rollercoaster

On April 10th, we started the first 5 weeks of the Super Affiliate Challenge with a focus on building our website foundation. With a checklist of 19 items, one needs to be on task every day to accomplish what's required to make it to the next month's lesson with all of the boxes checked.

Determined to Succeed

I started out strong. I found a new domain to build out a brand new website, chose my theme, customized it, and started to add content quickly.

I'm pleased with the overall look and flow of my website. I've searched my desired keywords and have created my content schedule. I have no worries of meeting the criteria for word count and number of posts written.

However, there are other tasks that proved they won't be conquered so easily.

The Benefits of Social Media for Marketing

They're there. In this day and age where the Smartphone is, indeed, an extremity attachment, and the ability to reach billions of people at any given time is at your fingertips, the use of social media platforms in your marketing campaign is a must, and can greatly increase your customer reach.

When it comes to Social Media account setup, the steps are pretty simple to follow, yet it has been the thorn in my side this week. Since my involvement in any form of Social Media was very minimal previously, I have had a STEEP learning curve. I was most challenged with my need to keep several businesses separate, yet easy for me to organize and track.

After much research and testing, and with the (most appreciated) help of many members, I have created a plan of action to see this process through before the weekend, and will come out of it the unseen rose on the end of that stem.

Completing Goals Takes Strategy

There are some checklist items that must be completed daily, weekly, and over the course of the month. In order to complete them all, I knew I would need a strategy on Day One to follow through to the completion of the lesson.

The daily tasks haven't been easy to stick to when my mind has been preoccupied, but I have committed to seeing that I complete them. Not only does it help others, but it helps myself as I am learning things in the process.

For my weekly Blog here, I will use my progress in the SAC to write updates. Not only does it keep me motivated but holds me accountable. I look forward to every step of this challenge, and aim to use the experience to help those referrals who my efforts attract. The more we learn, the better we can teach!

My Next Steps:

Week two for me will consist of three main goals:

1. Get my social media accounts setup and start posting

2. Complete 3 more new Posts

3. Meet my daily and weekly checklist items

I will be jumping off of the rollercoaster, and back on the train.

Four weeks left to accomplish the first lesson, and I aim to do so!

Rich 😃

That's right, Rich!

To Vegas! :-)

First, congrats on the SAC invitation. Second, sounds like you are well on your way to doing great things. You are motivated, organized and persistent. Good luck in the challenge and much success to you here at WA and beyond.

Making a living, making a difference.

Mark

Awww thanks, Mark!

I was really feeling a little deflated when I wrote that yesterday, just exhausted mentally from the unexpected "road blocks." But, I am persistent, and too stubborn, to let something so trivial ruin my progress.

Onward and upward!

Hey Cris, sounds like your off to a great start. I am in the challenge with you, and trust me you are not alone when you say social media marketing is a thorn in your side.

I was never really active on those platforms, so it will take me some getting used to as well. But keep up the good work.

Chris

Hey Chris!

Glad someone else can relate. All part of the process, and we will overcome the obstacles!

Thanks for stopping by,
Cris
