Fastest Result Ever!
Fetch As Google Definitely Works!
So this morning I finalized a post and went through my usual routine after publishing it including submitting it in Google Search Console to Fetch for Indexing.
This post was indexed the fastest ever so far.......6 hours!
I'm not sure if indexing becomes faster the older your website gets, but something has changed. Up until now it's been taking at least a day.
Happy!

Hi Ann,
That is some great news on getting your content indexed so quickly.
As your site grows in authoritative value and matures it will be easier and easier to get fast indexing, a strict content publishing schedule also helps greatly as well.

Hi, thanks so much for your reply earlier. I set up my all in one seo a few weeks ago and added a site map and google search console, but since then have been writing content and cant actually remeber how I set it up so am going to review today. Just looking at your blog post do I have to submit to fetch for indexing new articles?
Thanks so much
Hi you don’t ‘have’ to but it helps Google to index your posts faster.
Thanks, how do i go about this, other than letting the sitemap update automatically, and what is your "usual routine" after publishing? sorry to be a pain
Thanks in advance!
Kevin
Kevin I suggest you search the training here for ‘fetch to Google’. You do this in Google Search Console. My usual routine is publishing each post on social networks.
Thats brill thanks, I did look at some of the training but I have only been using the new console so couldnt see how to do it. Ill have another look at everything again later, need a break for now so going to concentrate on a new article.
Have a great weekend and thanks again
Kevin
Kevin I’m not near my laptop & can’t check it out, but I think there’s a tag down the left hand side in Console that says Indexing or Fetch or something like that. Click on that and it should take you in to the page where you set up fetch.
Thanks will have a look shortly. Thanks for always responding
