I have rankings for my image, and a button but my blog posts aren't in the rankings. This to me doesn't make any sense
Hey Eric,
Check out my screen print below...
When inserting images in the future, just make sure that "None" is selected and all will be fine.
To remove a link from your images, it would be the same as removing links form text. Here's a tutorial to assist you: How to Remove Hyperlinks in WordPress Hope you find this helpful.
Go to the Text Editor, find the image and check for certain that the link is not there because that is what is being indexed.
Check out the tutorial I provided for you if you need help locating a link.
Viewing your site for myself, you have shortcodes displaying in your sidebar that should not be there. Shortcodes are used to help display something not the shortcode itself.... so, I am wondering if you have plugins that are conflicting with one another.
As for the linked image, when I Google searched your issue, the 1st listed in my results is a forum discussing this issue. You may gain an advantage by finding a solution by running the same search and reading through a few of the suggestions.
Don't forget to BACK UP your website BEFORE making any major changes so that if your site breaks you will have a means of restoring it to what it was BEFORE you made the changes.
I think I figured it out but since the search engines take time to take effect it's hard to know for sure until it's crawled. But I needed a redirect for the attachment pages associated with each media item. In All In One SEO general setting, you can find it by scrolling down. Check the box and update.

Hey Eric,
You could use what you experienced and then state how your resolved it in a tutorial here. Remember that is what we do... share what we discover... PLUS, you will receive credit for your tutorials created.
The screen prints above and the proof of NO link screen print are all above (if you didn't keep them). Simply right mouse click them select to view each one and save them in your download folder... VOILA... you've got those images to explain what happened :-)
Just a thought...

My problem with sitemap is created by Google Console over-riding Google Webmaster Tools on verification requirement
Is it just a warning message or does your sitemap really have errors? Sometimes you get warnings that are not applicable to your site.
Amp error on google search console? I do have this challenge with AMP error. It's from my contact form and haven't found the solution yet.
Really, I hadn't heard that. Jay was recommending it in the webinars. Do you happen to know why it's not worth using inside of WA?
Oops, if Jay recomended it, that may have changed. Two years ago it was causing all sorts of issues and they recommended against it....
I left a message on the original question - I'd cut/page the error into Google to search for the answer.

I have received a message that something is wrong with my contact page as far as AMP is concerned. Is it something I need to fix?

Solved
I am trying to put a subscription form CTA below the content. I designed the form to embed and got the code. When I place it in the widget
If you are trying to add the form so that it will appear on all your posts then I would suggest two option (that I can think of)
1) As a widget that will fit in on your footer if you have one in your theme
2) Try to see if you can place it in the options of WP edit - I use this plugin regularly and have a place to put a signature or a form there. this is in the "extras" tab
Alternatively you might want to place a popup window and time it to pop up when the reader gets to the end of a post.
Personally I use Sumo plugin for this - very user friendly.
good luck - Orion
I had the same problem, the script wasn't in html form so it wouldn't show up. I used the plugin Insert Headers and Footers to insert the script into the header. Mine is a pop up form and it worked great once I entered it that way.
You can also insert the script into the header of your theme, but I don't like messing with the theme code if I don't have to and used the plugin.
I was thinking it might be something like that but I asked in live chat and got the idea my form may have just been the wrong size to fit. I appreciate you taking the time to respond with two suggestions.

Hi,
We run a large Twitter account of over 1.7 million followers, all about random facts and education. We were wanting to run a couple of ideas by you.
I wouldn't get caught up in trying to do link posting schemes like that. I mean, you can check them out and see how engaged their audience is, but personally, I wouldn't worry too much about that stuff
Check out their twitter, but I bet that their audience isn't "natural", and they are just building a twitter brand by the follow/unfollow method
their email said tweetingfacts so that is what I looked for on twitter and couldn't find anything with 1.7 million followers. The four that it showed me didn't have even a thousand.
Think I will just delete and forget about it.
We all have shyness and anxiety. At least thats why i like to work in my boxers and t-shirt. Now i kind a wanna read his blog. lol
they didn't give me a site to look at our a way to find them other than search. You can follow me and look at my site if you want.
