Not Receiving Email Notifications
I'm not sure why, but all evening I have not been receiving email notifications from WA.
I have edited my profile to only send certain ones (new followers, responses to my comments, and a few others), but I noticed tonight that there are comments and such coming in, without me being notified.
It's not the end of the world, since I can see it all when I am here, and it's giving my inbox a chance to breathe, but I would prefer to keep getting them.
Anyone else notice this?

I'm not getting email notice of the PMs sent to me, or most of the replies to my comments. The few I have gotten are 6-18 hours late.
So far as I know, that just started happening today.

Edited to add: Just noticed this - instead of the 30+ emails I get from WA every day, today I've gotten 5.

I assume you have a Yahoo email? It seems that the issue seems to be specific to Yahoo. If you are using something else, then I am not sure. Carson said that the emails will be temporarily delayed with Yahoo, but that as you start following links on the emails that you DO get, it will start to go back to normal.

You're right on both counts: I am using Yahoo email and I did miss Carson's comments here.
Thanks for being such a good sport in your reply: there are a few here who wouldn't have been nearly so nice in pointing out my obvious oversight.
It's easy to miss things, or overlook some responses. I do it all the time! Ha ha
If you miss something that can help you, I can certainly point it out without being rude or condescending. There is never any need for that. We are all here to learn and grow, after all.
My notifications are all starting to come in, many of them in random order. I will get a notification from 2 hours ago, followed by one in the same thread from 12 hours ago... It's really weird. I keep checking them out to make sure that I haven't missed anything, but most of them I've responded to hours ago.

I got 3 more before midnight yesterday, bringing my total emails from WA to 10 for the day (and I've clicked the link inside each).
As soon as Yahoo figures out it can still trust WA emails, it'll slam my inbox with them all at once, lol.
I could shorten the wait by adding WA to my safelist. I could even switch to a Gmail account.
This is interesting to watch unfold, though. I like seeing what lengths Yahoo will go to, to protect my email account.

I am getting messages fast and furious now. Unfortunately, they all seem to be coming in random order.
I wonder if that is related to my problem. I am getting notifications that people are leaving messages on my profile, but when I go to see them, they are not there!

That's a little different than what was happening to me. I am not sure if that would be related, but I suppose it could be. It would make more sense to me if it was the other way around, with you getting messages, but no email notifications....
Hmmm... It's been 9hrs and I haven't receive any emails from WA either. Well I guess it's too soon to say but since I have only see your question and none from the one hundred plus people I'm following. That's kind of strange to me.
I guess I'll give it another 9hrs and see.
I did as Carson suggested and made sure WA is in my contact list, but I have only received one email today, despite having multiple responses to different comments I've made.

That's good to hear. I did what Carson said. I change my yahoo to gmail and it worked. But since you have yours back. I'll change back.

Hi Craig,
Looks like your email provider may be blocking your email notifications from coming through. You will want to add the following email address to your contacts.
no-reply@notify.wealthyaffiliate.com
Check our spam or trash and if it's found there, pull it out. We're always making improvements to our email sending. When you interact with email you move to better servers which are faster and more reliable to get you email into your inbox. That said, some email providers are VERY sticky with email coming from new servers so that's likely the issue here.
If you continue to not receive email after adding our notification email address o your contact list then send me a PM and I'll investigate further.

This is the first time in over a year and a half that this has happened, so it's kind of strange. First thing I did was check my spam folder, thinking I may have accidentally marked it as such, but there was nothing there.
At any rate, I will try the above.

WA is not on blacklists no, actually we're always working very hard at email delivery to make sure that notifications get into your inbox. That said, from time to time we switch up our mail servers for more powerful technology. Yahoo is notorious for deferring email from new servers which is really poor practice. So, they basically deliver your email slowly until they trust the sender and you interact with the email.
So, the solution is to simply wait for your email to come in. Once it does, clicking on any links in the email will likely add it to your safest at Yahoo. Another options you can create a Gmail address which would fix the issue immediately. Yahoo's policy is strange and it's a common issue in the world of email delivery.

Actually, I received the notification for your previous message (from 14 hours ago...) within the past hour, so yeah, that's exactly what's happening.

Thanks for the response. It has never happened to me so I thought it rather weird, and it happened while I was online. I had a bunch of emails (40+) when I got on, but then no others came.

I hate the fact that Yahoo has issues when servers are changed from the email issuer. This is something that they really need to address. I give lots of thanks to Carson for keeping us updated with the issue.
