In Praise of Helpers
I posted a couple of times over the past few days about the help I have received for my site. That help has primarily taken the form of vastly increased traffic. So much so that I keep thinking it is being measured incorrectly. In addition to that, however, I have been given advice on how to build traffic myself, how to improve the look and functionality of my site, and have been given several examples of how to really think about what I am doing and how to improve upon it.
I am incredibly grateful.
The gentleman who has offered me this help only asked that I let other people know that they need to keep believing that success is possible through WA and to try to encourage them. in the same way that these past few days have encouraged me. He even asked that I not give his name:
"You cannot ask too many questions. I enjoy helping people get going and besides I think you site is going to be a fun site to visit..."
" Now here is something you can do. Write a post how you found out that you can go from having a little traffic to a lot of traffic fairly quickly. Don't mention my name but just that you know that it can be done. Too many of them do not believe you can get the traffic without Google..."
When I asked about not using his name:
"I don't do this for recognition I do this because I like helping people get financially free.So do it how you want to but I would like people to hear from someone besides me that this will work and you can get traffic from somewhere besides Google."
I am very happy (closer to ecstatic) about how many visits my site has had over the past few days. I am feeling very motivated to keep it like this and build it up even higher. Had I continued to work at it alone, I probably would have taken months to get even half of what I have been experiencing. I am feeling much more optimistic about my ability to really get somewhere with my site. Up until now, I have spent too much time thinking it would be nice if... Now I am starting to think it will be awesome when....
So, although I have told him thank you many, many times, I am saying it again. Thank you!
And for everyone else, please, please, keep believing that you can succeed here. I know it's hard to accept words on the screen typed by a person you don't even know, but I have seen first hand that it's possible to boost traffic dramatically, and once you have the traffic, sales are only a few steps behind.
You can do this! You will do this! The only thing that can stop you is giving up.

I agree totally-- this is what I think most people think of when they think of what an ambassador is. The funny thing? He isn't in the Top 25.
That's amazing! Well my friend, you're the "proof in his pudding"... I wonder how he feels about tutoring... (-;
He posts motivational stuff rather frequently, so I would imagine that he gets a real charge out of helping people along. I don't blame him. I used to do some coaching with kids, and that "a-ha!" moment when someone catches on to something and starts making progress is a wonderful thing to witness.

He's a big proponent of social media. The increase in traffic that I am experiencing is due to him mentioning me to his followers. That's pretty much it. Or at least, that's what I know about...
He basically wants people to look at different ways to connect with potential visitors, not just using keywords and nothing else.
