So, I am not too sure if I still need to post this. I was going to do so this morning, but had to go out for a job interview. By the time I came home, multiple people had already passed it around. I may have followers that the others don't however, so I am doing my part.

So, here is the post that is making the rounds today: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co...

I also have to add my personal view on this. I can't quite agree 100% simply because I happen to like the occasional silly post, or hearing about the journeys of other members here. I see value in that. If anything that is not 100% business related becomes totally forbidden, I think that will do more harm than good. We are people here, not robots. When you are online with people here as much as some of us are, socializing is a good thing.

Now, because people tend to misread or misinterpret on occasion, I am not saying that you should be writing 5 posts per day about your dog, what you had for lunch, etc. but I do think that there is room for some personality here, although yes, the focus is and should be on learning, helping and creating your online business.

Thanks for sharing, Craig.

If one is annoyed by the quality of a member's post, one can unfollow them. I have actually been considering that for three or four. However, there was one member who I routinely cut off as soon as I saw the post was from him, and then one day I decided to read one, and it was an uplifting experience for me.
I don't want history lessons or golf facts, but I understand that some of us, myself included, are trying to learn how to create an interesting article, and this venue provides practice for that, and practice with feedback.
Just my thoughts on the subject.

I find that there are too many rules here, some of them conflilcting and distracting.

I wouldn't say that there are too many... I think it's more an issue of the ones we have being inconsistently applied.

I'm afraid the issue is that Activity has got swamped with a lot of members blogging what they had for breakfast, lunch and supper. It's alienating experienced members with the skills to help newcomers succeed because they are not willing to wade through all the social content to try and find those that want help with the training. This in turn impacts referrers and everyone doing Bootcamp because if newcomers don't get the help they need they leave. That results in a loss of revenue for both the referrer and WA.

I understand that completely and agree. I just don't want to go to the far extreme either, with things becoming too cold and sterile.

I believe that business can be fun, and *should be*

I too don't want to stop anyone blogging anything, which is why I'm confident that a solution that satisfies all parties will be found. ;)

I'm sure it'll be worked out. :)

It will. ;)

It's always difficult to find the middle way and borders in cases like this Craig

I know.
But I try to be optimistic. :)

Makes sense.

I see the value in this not being a platform as facebook is but I do enjoy seeing posts that can encourage and uplift the mind. The social interaction has made me feel welcome in this community. I am new to blogging and will follow the guidelines.

I DEFINITELY don't want this to turn into Facebook. Facebook is a toxic mess at times. But I do hope we can find some middle ground, where we are *focused* on business, but keeping a fun side as well.

Hi Craig, a very powerful post. Irv.

Always something to be mindful of Craig!

I think it's important to clarify that the offending party wasn't actually an Ambassador as well. She had a mix up.

Oh, I know. I see both sides of the argument. I like having a social side here, but frankly, I came here to learn. I don't see why we can't do both, so long as we know where our focus lies and don't get out of control.

Absolutely. In a community of one million people there's always going to be people who blog about off topic stuff but those blogs tend to go nowhere and fade quickly. We can always filter out our email to not get constant notifications about them. The vast majority are blogging very helpful info. Those are the ones that continue to rise to the top.

I'm all for some personality in a blog post. Heck I reference Batman all the time, mainly because I am Batman and that's a well documented fact.

I hope everyone keeps their heads up and stops with the negativity. And if they don't, well it doesn't really affect me, I'm going to keep being positive :)

Also don't tell anyone I'm Batman.

Too Late!

ok well don't tell anyone *else* lol

They might need your help
