Wow! WooCommerce!

I've been toying with the idea of changing TV supplier (my affiliation) and I finally decided to make the move after losing customers due to my supplier's total lack of care and blatant disregard for customers.

I found a supplier that had a good system but this meant adding a payment system to my website. I was a bit reluctant to do that since my website is mainly for reviews and blogs so I decided to create a subdomain.

Thanks to all the great training on here (K&C, MagiStudios, TeddyBear, MarionBlack) I have almost got it over the line with WooCommerce on my new subdomain.

If you haven't used WC before it really is a great platform. You can even add a BACS system whereby you get customers to pay into your bank account.

Together with email notifications of new orders and automatic emails when orders are marked complete, it really is an all-round platform for online shops. I am also in the process of adding a credit card merchant (Stripe) instead of BACS payments, or maybe as an alternative.

PayPal is out for me I'm afraid, after being banned for 6 months but that's another story. If you are considering adding an online shop but maybe think it's a bit daunting, don't hesitate to contact me for any advice. I'm not an expert but I know how to get it up and running.

Hi Craig, Glad you are enjoying woocommerce. I am not getting the new order emails... I even added an email log plugin to confirm the emails are being sent but they are not appearing in my email. My client only knows there is an order because they are notified by paypal that there is money in their account. I have not found a fix for this yet.

I also am having problems with the cart being empty and the checkout page spinning. I went back and forth with tech support for a whole day checking and testing and it works but it keeps breaking. I do not know why it keeps breaking, but I can go into status and tools and clear the customer browsing sessions so the cart/checkout pages work... but I don't know for how long! It's very frustrating... if you have any ideas about how to fix these issues. thanks, Darla

Hi Darla,

I only went Live with Stripe payment gateway yesterday. I tried it out using the Test Keys and I rec'd order emails but I haven't had a purchase yet since it went Live.

Have you tried adding a different email address?

My New order settings.

I love WooCommerce. If you use Stripe for your merchant provider you can even accept Bitcoin!

I've just set up my Stripe gateway and it's now live :)

I got banned too. Then I lost my Jaaxy Pro subscription because the IS NO Jaaxy Support for non members, and they only allow Jaaxy membership pro for me to continue at $19 per month via PayPal portal... and I can't even use it anymore (selling CBD on my CBD niche site).

So, can you believe it, I have to pay for annual WA membership plus $49 a month for Pro because no one including Carson and Kyle won't help me communicate with Jaaxy to give them my credit card number! I can't believe it.

Any ideas?

Hi Ted, why not change your membership to Lite? That's what I did and it's free for Premium members. It's not hugely different to the Pro version.

I thought Premium members automatically have Lite.

100% correct

I see. But if a WA Premium Member like us does not have PayPal's blessing first, then us Members and Jaaxy Subscribers cannot continue their $19 Jaaxy Pro subscriptions.

And there is no know way of contacting Jaaxy in any manner because Jaaxy has no customer support for non-members.

This even includes WA Member Support, Carson, and Kyle who say they have nothing to do with Jaaxy and clearly no influence regarding WA members' subscription and billing problems.

How did I score on these points?

well done and congrats
continued success
cheers PB

Randy

Thanks for the offer. I have been thinking about it.

John Y

you're welcome

Congratulations on getting a workaround to PayPal Craig

Thanks Mike

Great progress Craig. You have covered a lot of ground in your online business. And thanks for your offer to help. Be sure to contact you if I ever need it in the future.

Thanks Alex.

Cheers!

Awesome. So how are you handling this now?

Is it a bit like dropshipping?
They order in your store and then you order it from the supplier and they send it to the customer?
Can you make your own prices?

Moritz

I haven't kicked it off yet because I still have to activate my credit card merchant. I am only selling online products (subscriptions) and affiliated Amazon products but I will look into dropshipping later.

I can make my own prices for my subscriptions but that's dependent on the affiliation I think.

I'm quite excited about it.

Craig.

How do you add Amazon products images? Adding their linked images is only possible in WooZone. Everything else is against their rules. Wonder if you have found a way around with/without WooZone.

Another thing for you or anybody else, do you know how much memory the ordinary WooCommerce plugin needs? WooZone needs 128 MB and we do not have this at WA hosting. But WooZone is the only legal way to add images. These plugins are very slow if you do not have enough memory.

I don't have Amazon products on my Shop yet and I'm not using WooZone. sorry.
