Why it is important to keep a record of posts

If you write a lot of reviews I would advise you to keep a spreadsheet with a list of all your posts including main KW and metrics.

Why keep a record like this?

Above is just a snippet of my list. If you have a lot of posts it can come in useful especially when writing reviews. I don't know about you but sometimes I forget if I have reviewed a product and a couple of times I almost duplicated one review.

Without checking the spreadsheet it could easily happen if you have 100's of posts and pages.

It's also useful if you want to check and update your rankings and you can keep track of how many posts you have on page 1 of Google.

I also use it to add KW metrics that I will use for future posts when I do my weekly brainstorming for KW research.

I don't really do reviews, but this has crossed my mind, as I worry about repeating myself as I add more and more content.

Good idea.

Archiving is important indeed Craig!

Are you using Jaxxy, Craig?

Yes Yvonne, I know what you are going to say :)

I keep track of a running list of keywords fro all of my projects, my website posts and pages and all of my blogs. I will do this for any training that I am just about to start on!

That is a great habit!

I agree, I use my editorial calendar to keep track.
