Why an email list is important
I never used to care too much about using my email list on a regular basis and I always focused on writing content for my site. I've been very lazy in that department.
However, I sent an email to my list yesterday with a link to my latest post (which wasn't ranking on Google at that time).
My email list isn't big at the moment (around 90 subscribers) but that email yesterday generated 27 visits to that post on my site. I can only assume this came from click-throughs on my email.
From these visits I appear to have generated 2 x IPTV subscriptions so I will definitely be using this more often.
Something to think about?

I always recommend to have a list. Why is it that seasoned marketers tell you: "The money is in the list" ?
It is said that, or every subscriber you have, you can generally expect $1.00 per month if that list is mailed to regularly.
That's a great discovery Craig! 27/90 = 30% CTR. That's a great way to generate traffic. Imagine if you had an email list of 5000+!
Which begs a deeper question:.
What do you think is the best and most effective strategy to build up a massive email list? I would love to hear your thoughts on this on my thread. What is the most effective way to build your email list?

Good on you Craig. I'll have to get cracking and sort that out for my site.
