The importance of multiple income streams

In our training here we are taught about the different ways to monetize our website. From memory, I'm pretty sure that Kyle talks about utilizing income streams that are related to our niche.

It's quite a while since I did the certification course and my memory ain't what it used to be but I'm sure this topic is covered.

Regardless, I want to mention why it's important to broaden your horizons a bit. I'm not talking about flooding your site with affiliate links, far from it.

More specifically, why it's good to diversify a bit and also think outside of the box if you can. I initially started my website to promote IPTV subscriptions for expats the World over.

I soon realized that I couldn't write post after post all about IPTV and its benefits. I would be penalized by Google for too much duplication.

So, I came up with the idea of reviewing TV boxes which is related to my niche. That opened up another income stream for me in the shape of Amazon and other online stores.

Then along came VPN subscriptions which are related to TV boxes so that provided my 3rd income stream.

Writing about TV boxes has saved my website. I can also promote my VPN subs and offer my IPTV subs as another option or alternative.

I urge you to consider multiple income streams and try and diversify a little rather than just relying on Amazon or another E-Store.

Thanks for reading.

A good idea to distribute your sourcing indeed!

Great advice.
Thanks Craig.

Hey Craig,
For me I think about diversifying but first I have to learn how to build my website to make money. That should help me understand further and allow me to expand.
Its all about the knowledge. Thanks for sharing yours here!

Thanks.

Thanks for posting. It's true we have to think outside of the box and I'm glad you did and it's working for you :)

I was accepted at Amazon but not using them. The 2 others I use are strictly for my niche alone. One even custom made my banner because I wanted something specific.

Hi Patsy,
Can you share the others besides Amazon.
My niche is a tough one I feel. Currently I have Amazin too.

ShareASale Network.

They have several Merchants there to choose from. I'm using 2, One of the merchants is OASAP they made my custom made banner that goes right to my niche and not the whole website. Then if the visitor decides to look around and buys something else, we get the credit of course since its under our website.
The second one is Modern Man Bags which is just my niche alone, nothing else on that website for the mens, I have the womens also which is the custom made one.

I'm still going to look for another one to have 2 for the women's.

I heard way too many negative things about Amazon.

Did you get the reply I sent you on this? The site seems to be acting funny this evening.

Which site is acting funny?

WA site. Anyway just saying thank you. Ive been hearing a lot of trash about Amazon as well. A lot of good about ShareASale.
Are they hard to get. I may want to switch.

No, easy to get in. NO verifying codes etc...they accepted me the next day :)

Thanks, Craig. Great image :-)

Wayne
