Targeting presales for reviews
I have covered something like this before (as has Marcus) but I was previously talking about writing reviews for new products.
Today, I published a review for a product that hasn't even been shipped yet. The only way to buy it is by pre-ordering it from Geekbuying website.
Believe it or not, 370 people have already ordered this TV box and it won't be shipped for 17 more days.
So, how can I write a review for something that hasn't been reviewed by anyone?
That's the easy part. Without testing it all you can do is list down the specs and features and expand a bit more on them.
I'm going to try and target more products that are on presales because...
- I went straight in at #2 on Google (easy to rank).
- Once you are there, it's up to the rest to knock you off.
- The reviews are easier to write and traffic will only increase once the products are shipped.
It's my intention to re-visit the post and add more on the performance once they are being shipped.

It may be possible to put in a place holder for the review, stating that said review will arrive the product actually ships. Maybe worth a shot. At least you are providing something for your customers and clients.
Yes, this is a great idea! You can just write about the facts, then if that product gets lots of customer reviews later, you can go back and edit your review to include those opinions.
