Scaling up - new PB with traffic
HI all,
Just wanted to share my progress in the hope that it may provide a little inspiration if you are struggling. I haven't faltered when it has come to adding content. 5 or 6 each week and targeting low hangers.
New strategy
However, I am now chasing products that are either brand new (just released) or presales. This allows me to get ranked easier and I think my analytics are proving that this strategy is working.
It took a couple of dips but recovered and yesterday I went from a PB of 328 to 411 for daily traffic.
Think outside of the box
People do order products on presale and we all know that traffic will go up once the products are sold onto the market. But I will already be ranked near the top so I will be ready for the traffic.
For example, I added a post yesterday that Jaaxy metrics reported <10 for the month. That post got 20 visitors yesterday. So, thinking out of the box a little, does reap rewards.
I'm under no illusion that my traffic will dip again, but I will just keep adding content. I will continue to use my latest strategy to achieve high rankings easier.
Rinse and repeat folks!
I would like to target 1000/day by year end but that's just a guess.

Things are progressing well for you Craig, glad for you! The product reviews will give you that bump you see, and although the bump fades rather quickly, but if you keep doing these, at some point people will stick around longer to see what else you have...More people who stay longer, become leads and over time, customers...I like it! Cheers Dave and thanks for the info. I did wonder about writing product reviews especially with items that have a shelf life, like TV boxes. I would say 2 years max. from experience which means my website will only ever be good for 2 years of posts at any given time. Do you agree?

I'm really really pleased for you, Craig. My problem, before devising a selling strategy, is that I'm well far off from posting the recommended minimum of 3 per week. I think that's the difference between working on your online business full time and not. At the moment it's a reality I have to accept, but I do worry as it produces a chain reaction, where the result is not the desired one :(
Thanks Giulia, I know how tough it is to maintain consistency, sometimes in the face of adversity! I just keep going in the belief that one day it will all click into place. I think it's important to do at least 3 / week but it's more important to make sure you get at least on page 1 for rankings.
