My first flyer is ready
I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in an area called the Golden Triangle. It's kind of an expat haven and full of bars and restaurants.
I've decided to get A5 flyers made for my business and I will get one of the guys working in my local bar to hand them out in the busy bar area. He makes some extra cash and I hopefully get more business for my IPTV subscriptions.
I made the design myself. The local cable TV company is called Astro and it's expensive and mainly local channels.
There's a lot of expats in my area, why not take advantage of it?
Thoughts welcome.

great idea with the flyer in that area. Just a thought - you only mention the sports channels. Are there not option for something else than just sport channels? maybe some of the expats are also interested in movies, children channels, entertainment etc. in their own language so you can also mention some of these options.

Awesome Craig .. my thinking is to combine online/offline as much as possible. I just had another thought .. I do post to Groups on Facebook .. similar to what Paul Goodwin is doing except he is very consistent at it and I am not. Have you read his posts? Maybe you could do the same targeting ex-pat Groups various countries. There are quite a few ex-pat Groups here in Surabaya even though the ex-pat population is small. There is a huge ex-pat population in Bali and Jakarta. As you would know the same would be the case in many parts of Philippines and Thailand too. Just a though. What about ex-pat groups in India?

Hi William, thanks. The market is HUGE and I've already tried tapping into a lot of expat groups on FB. I did get some limited success but I've kind of put it on the back burner or now, as I progress with my content. It's a great way for marketing though, thanks for suggesting it. I'm pretty confident of getting some business through my flyers too. Expats like us crave expat TV, especially us Brits, we're mad for it lol.
Go to where your targeted potential clients are and pass the word out; That is the way to do it and MUCH cheaper than PPC!

Looks like it's been kiboshed. Apparently its illegal to hand out leaflets in the street here. Need to rethink my plan.
