Laying more foundations

This is Off Topic so for that I apologize, but I wanted to share my thinking ahead. For those that don't know, I am in Malaysia on a Work Permit. That means I am effectively tied to my full-time job here.

If I was to leave and go full-time with my online business, I could only stay in Malaysia for a limited time before exiting. My wife and son are both from Philippines and they would only get 30 days here. Basically, I would have to forfeit my work permit and their dependent passes.

It would throw up all sorts of other problems not being here with a proper visa, but I am in the process of resolving that.

A New Government Initiative

The Government have started a new initiative called RP-T (Residence Pass-Talent). This allows foreigner to obtain a 10 year visa which also covers dependents. There's a few conditions that must be met in order to apply but I am happy to say I meet them all.

It also means my wife can work and we can stay here for 10 years without having to exit. It also means I can work with any company or do my own business. I am off to Redang Island in 10 days but when I return I will get this sorted. It only takes 14 days.

So, you can see what I mean about laying more foundations. I am thinking ahead to the day when I do go full-time with my online ventures. Believe me, I have faith that this will happen and it's only a matter of time.

Reasons To Be Cheerful

Here's a few reasons why I am looking forward to the next 10 years in Malaysia. Redang Island features in the last 2 photos :)

First one is Penang, second one is Perhentian. I've been to both several times.

One day I hope to announce me going full time with my online ventures. Sooner rather than later :)
