I'm on Google Page 1 for 8300 searches
Sorry if this headline sounds confusing. I have an article that is targeting a keyword for 8300 searches per month.
The reason I am sharing this is to show how I achieved this. The article itself doesn't have a high QSR (27) but the searches for this keyword is huge. In August it was almost 10,000 per month. Today it has 8300 per month which is still a lot.
When I wrote the article it started off on Page 3, ranked around 35 or so. As you can see from the graph below, to took me 2 months to finally break onto Page 1.
How did I do this?
One word: Comments.
I realized the potential of getting to Page 1 so this article now has 70 comments on it. I persevered and didn't give up. I believe that it will go higher than #9 and I hope I can see improved traffic due to this.
It just proves that getting comments really does work.
Have a great weekend folks!

That's great!
I keep telling myself to work on getting comments, but it always seems to take a back seat to something else. I think I will really have to put some effort into it.
I got sidetracked for a while and didn't bother with comments on a lot of my posts. I was more focused on adding content. I still am if truth be told, but for that post I really wanted it to get on page 1, for obvious reasons.
That is great and your QSR is only 27. A great keyword that will get to the top three soon. Keep following the rule of thumb as Jay so advise. Congratulations. Using Jaaxy Like a Boss
