Today I Started a Passion Project
Now that my original niche site is paying for my WA subscription I decided I should probably start the passion site I always wanted to start.
Now this isn't a site that is intended to attract people through SEO. Because given the focus nobody is going to search for what I'm talking about.
This is just a place for me to go write about stuff that entertains me.
I have no idea how I'll monetize it or if I'll ever be able to, but the purpose was to give me something cathartic to do when I just need to get away from work, whether it is my day job or my affiliate site.
The beauty is that now that I've setup a site from the ground up using WA and the training here I know what I'm doing. The new site took me less than a day to get purchased, get the theme configured the way I want it and get all of my plugins installed and get it ready to go.
I even have my first 12 posts drafted from collecting my thoughts over the past 2-3 weeks when I finally realized I was going to set this thing up!
The last few things I need to do before I start publishing content:
- Setup social media accounts for fun and to spread the word
- Get Adsense configured and running on the site
- Get AdWords configured and running on the site
I'll look forward to seeing If this site attracts any attention. Even if it doesn't it'll be something fun to do!

Complaining about things that tick me off. hahaha. Like I said, I have no idea if I can monetize it, but I'll try over the long haul. Examples: people in security lines at the airport that are clueless, airlines letting you book tight connections they know you can't make, etc.

That sounds great to write what you are passionate about.
I have also noticed that things which would take ages in the past can now be down a lot faster thanks to the training and the practice. Wishing you success with your new site.

Thanks a bunch. Yes, it is nice to be able to knock things out more quickly once you understand WordPress!
Plus now that I know what's going on I feel like I'd be more comfortable outsourcing some things...
