The true test of how good Wealthy Affiliate really is. As of two weeks ago I was one of the very few people left in this world that did not have any social media. Absolutely none.

I have never had a Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, MySpace, Tinder, nothing. I was a 40 year old virgin to social media. Steve Carrol but for computers.

Not anymore. It might be hard to believe that someone can go through this world we live in these days with no social media of any kind, but that was me.

Starting From Scratch

I knew I wanted to work from home and I knew I wanted to still be my own boss but that's about it. When I first decided to go all in on market affiliating, I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty intimidated. Not only did I not have any social media but I was not computer savvy at all.

Every time I heard SEO, or other various vocabulary that everybody else seemed to know, I would see a huge hill with horrible terrain and crazy unknown obstacles every step of the way.

I started the course and knew I had a chance right away because of the step by step instructions and videos.

It was time to pick a niche. I decided to pick what Im good at and what I enjoy doing so I wouldn't have a problem creating content.

There were some very frustrating moments. A few steps took me all day when anyone with some computer skills would've knocked it out in an hour. There's two steps i had to skip, and still have to ask the community about, but I 'm doing it and learning so much.

I am proud of my progress but at the same time I honestly feel like I don't deserve much of the credit. The step-by-step process produced by Wealthy Affiliate is amazing. The instructions, videos and the community are completely holding my hand through this process.

For the last few days I've been exploring social media and learning from scratch with some comical moments along the way. I'm a few days in and have made about six or seven posts on each one so I'm getting used to it.

It's not intimidating anymore and getting easier but I do need some friends on there so if anyone in the community doesn't mind adding me I would love that.

I love learning something new and I love the idea of helping so it's been a fun three weeks now. When it was time to pick a niche the video said to pick something that you could help people with and for me that was helping people pick games in sports.

I've been doing it so long I know I would definetly be able to help someone that bets on sports. I understand and notice that my unique perspective is interesting to many sports fans so I decided to go for it.

i'm excited for this journey and very thankful to this community for making me feel like people are there to help me if I need it. Good feeling. Thank you.

The Business is Born

The website I created is LasVegasNFLodds.com It's easy for me to create content because I already do every single day, now I just have to write it.

I usually start my process first thing in the morning and have been doing so for over 20 years.

My perspective is very unique, OK extremely extremely unique. The main reason why I created it was because I love to do it. I am very good at it and when I talk about it people are intrigued of my ideas and methods.

I'm striving to make my site very helpful and entertaining to many sports fans.

With online sports betting becoming legal in many states, and on its way to becoming completely legal, it has become even more popular. T

I'm excited to share my knowledge, I won't give all my secrets but I'll give a lot of tips and tricks of the trade. My main focus will be to have fun and help people that bet on sports..

I've never engaged on social media before, but engaging in something that I love should be fun, so let's go for it. I have learned so much already in my three week journey.

I realize it will be difficult at times and I'm glad I picked a niche I'm an expert at because I'm going to need help everywhere else.

As far as my weakness, I know I am going to have to rely on the community and so far they have delivered. Thank You.

If I listed everything that I've learned it would be the entire training program, so, I'll tell you the funniest thing I learned... it was how to sign up for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

There is a first time for everything.

I was surprised that through the process I didn't have that many questions. The times I did have questions I would just re-read the training, or rewatch the video and it always answered my question.

I am proud of what I've accomplished so far and I'm excited to keep going. I know I have a lot of work ahead of me and a lot to learn so it's nice to know I have so much back up here at Wealthy Affiliate. Since so many have helped me already if there's anything I can do to help any member at wealthy affiliate please let me know.

Goals

My goals for the next three months are to just keep going. To finish the training, to go on and do the advanced training and keep up with working on my business every single day.

There's plenty to do to keep me busy and seven months of football ahead of me. Not looking at monetary goals yet but I am looking forward to being fully set up. I would like to be at a place where I have a good following on all my social media and I have a foundation of returning customers or returning visitors.

My six month goal is to be very efficient and good. In six months none of this will feel weird or foreign to me, it will be natural and easy. I don't know exactly how it's going to go, but I do know it's going to go and I am willing to work and I want to help.
