If you wanna write, they say one thing you've gotta do is read...
If you wanna be a Columnist, read the newspaper. (The New York Times, The Washington Post, The LA Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe, USA Today, or your local newspaper)
If you wanna be a Novelist, read novels. (Ulysses, by James Joyce, The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Sound And The Fury, by William Faulkner, The Grapes Of Wrath, by John Steinbeck, Koontz, King, McCammon...Pick your poison!)
And likewise, if you wanna be a Blogger, read Blogs. Lifehacks.com lists the Top 10 Most Inspirational Bloggers In The World:

Well, you need to write, and keep on writing...
It doesn't matter if it's any good at first...Just do it! Pick a subject and get started. It can be about anything!
If you never start, you'll never get to...
Pick up that pen or pencil, or just start typing. Don't worry about how it sounds-Just do it!

I used to love to write poetry, and don't understand why I stopped. I guess it would help if I picked up the pen once in awhile.

There can't be a better piece of advice.
Of course it takes hours and hours of reading and hundreds of volumes of books before you get poisoned, before you start feeling this inner urge"Write! Write!" Now I just can't but write.:)
I like it. Now that I think of it im not the best at writing blog post but then again I dont read blogs! LOL. I must think of this one. Thank you for sharing
