I Want To Try Something New!
2nd day with our little scholars...
A kindergarten girl comes out of the bathroom in a pod where I'm doing some work. She tosses me something, which I quickly realize is her dress, because she's standing there in some kind of white nylon "shorts," which do nothing to hide the blue polka dot panties underneath.
"I want to try something new," she says.
"Honey," I say, I think you need to put your dress back on."
"I have shorts," she says.
I as diplomatically as possible explain to her that if those are, indeed, shorts, they are shorts through which all her classmates will be able to see her blue polka dot panties.
She then explains the real problem. "It's inside out, and I can't fix it," she complains.
I help her get the dress "right side out," and help her put it back on.
"I think that will be better," I say.
"Thanks," she says, and runs off to class, modesty intact.
Trying something new can be a good idea, if you have a realistic grasp on the impact it's likely to make!

Thank you for this Rick, I remember my daughter when she was younger would run about in her underwear any chance she got, she hated wearing clothes lol. Xx
So cute...the things that kids say and do are so innocent. I've spent this whole week trying something new...unfortunately the impact is I'm not as focused on WA.
Have fun in your new school year.

A really sweet story Rick,
Children can come up with pearls now and then.
My Mother presented me with a kind of book where she had written down my pearls when I was a small girl. My Father had written these down in his small agenda. When he died in 1986, my Mother, before burning them checked all these small agenda's and wrote down what she thought worth keeping.
