Every year my school hosts a Veterans' Day celebration, in which squads display their technical drilling expertise, and Veterans of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and or National Guard share their compelling and inspiring stories.

Wishing a happy Veterans' Day to all who have proudly served our country, including two of my sons, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and managed to get home safely.

We appreciate all you have done for us!

Although not a veteran, I had a good time with a few early on today. Yes, we do appreciate their service and God bless you all around the country wherever you are.

Thank you Rick, for posting.

My pleasure, David.

everyone should honor our veterans for their bravery

Absolutely, Davida. :)

Happy Veteran's Day!.
I am sorry the discussion got a little political(which is against the rules here at WA, BTW)
I believe we may approve or not approve of the policies of a country and decisions of presidents and governments, but we should still honor those brave and strong men who go and serve their country with the weapon in their hands. There's a very good Russian film called "Officers". The main character says there:"It's such a profession to defend your country"...:)

Thanks, Vera. I don't think it's political to thank those whose selfless service keeps us all safe-It's true in whatever country we live. Veterans defended their country, just like we would all defend ourselves and our family, if necessary. :)

Yes of course...It's very important to honor veterans...:))

Happy Veterans Day to all the soldiers.

Thanks, Rog!

No problem.

I do not think that everybody appreciates what those veterans are doing in the mentioned countries. Do you still remember why they went to Irak?

By the way, I am sure they did not 'serve in Iran'. Iranians would never allow this.

Thanks for these words.

Since I live in Austria and because of my job I have a lot to do with the refugees from Syria, Afghanistan, Iran, etc., it would be fair to hear their opinions about the US military. Interestingly enough, the military is not so highly acclaimed there as it is in American TV in particular.

The military is very important - no question about it. But as a non-American, it seems to me that the US has been making incredible propaganda for the military for many years.

Those murderers have bombed my own country as well, using bombs built from radioactive material so we have now contaminated areas forever. People are dying from cancer caused by those veterans.

They bombed a hospital, a train full of passengers. They bombed a tv station in Belgrade with many innocent people killed inside. I was watching their broken skulls with the brain just spreading out, and I mean in real life, from a close distance, not on TV. Great veterans, murderers.

This man is showing a bad judgment by posting this here. Great that his sons are back, but how many sons of other people were killed?

He does not even know the difference between Iran and Irak, who cares for "those countries', who cares for tens of thousands dead people there.

I have reported this as a spam.

Milosevic got in his own licks as well. No one is "right" in this business!

Not sure what you are saying Michael. I do not care about any name or any president, I am not discussing politics here, this is about the killing of people which is taking place on all meridians. I happened to be on one, so have the first-hand experience and knowledge, all documented and known.

Dispersing radioactive materials throughout a country is beyond politics. This is a crime against humanity and future generations will suffer. The same is in Vietnam, I assume you know the history.

Now you know how the leader of the democratic world is getting rid of its nuclear waste, they deposit it in "those countries", just follow the craters of American bombs, the planet is full of them.

You're right there, Jovo-Thanks for catching the error-It has been corrected. My son was in Iraq. He now works in government intelligence, and no, that's not an oxymoron! :)

"Lest We Forget."
Thank you, Rick.

Your 'Veteran's' day in the US is shared as 'Rememberance Day' here in canada. November 11.

Kindest regards,

Paul.

Thank you, Paul.

Nice to see you 'mug,' Rick.
