Free Fallin'
I peaked at #7 a while back, and since some events beyond my control led to a loss of writing privilege for about 3 weeks, I've found myself less motivated to try and scrap for one of the top spots.
In fact, I've now fallen to #198, and am about to drop out of the top 200, and if I were a betting man, I'd say this is a trend that will continue for the foreseeable future.

I'm sorry that you have had things come up that are keeping you from fully participating. Unfortunately, life does interfere with all of us at times. If it weren't for people dropping back down in rank, none of us would have made it into the top ranking here in the first place, It is a natural turn of events.

Rick, you should not put too much emphasis on your ranking here at WA. I know mine has fallen and to be honest it simply does not bother me. I put my efforts into continuing to build my business, not trying to get into the top 20 regarding my personal ranking.
In my close to 3 years here at WA, I have seen a handful of members become so obsessed about trying to get their ranking as high as possible, that in my opinion it obviously hurt what should have been their true purpose in joining this program in the first place:
Learning how to build a profitable online business! Especially if it is a person's first go at creating such a business for him/herself
Among members who I feel have joined WA for the wrong reasons, I include one individual who joined as a premium member practically on the same day that I joined WA back in early Feb. 2015. This person spent too much time socializing daily here on the dashboard, including contacting me practically on a daily basis to "chat", done so after she found out we became members at about the same time.
Without being rude, I pulled myself away from this individual as too much of my time was not put into developing my own first website, as well as on the training. She eventually got the hint when I stopped responding back to her messages and posted articles.
Soon enough by May/June of 2015, 3 or so months after joining, this person posted a final article here on the dashboard with the announcement that she was leaving WA - in her opinion the program did not fit her needs. The claim was also made by this individual in her final dashboard article that the training offered here at WA was somewhat confusing.
Perhaps if more time on her part was spent studying the tutorials instead of socializing this individual would have grown as a "newbie" business owner. Slowly immersing oneself into the training, sorry, but I feel that there is no "confusion" about what is being taught by Kyle. It's only when a person goes through it at breakneck speed that he/she misses out on certain educational aspects which would lead to - confusion!
Embedding oneself into the training offered here at WA, (either the Bootcamp or business niche training) should be the #1 goal of members who join this great program. Conversely, it should not be trying to get into the top 10 regarding ranking, within a few months after becoming a member.
May I wish you continued best of luck Rick with your business. Remember THAT is the most important part of being a member here at WA - what you have developed as a business owner.

Btw, the Tom Petty song in which you provided the lyrics "Free falling" is an all-time rock selection back in a period when musicians created REAL music - not the canned, computerized nonsense by non-talented artists that I refuse to listen to today! This is coming from an individual who has a Masters' degree in music!
I get a lot of value from comments like yours that have meat on the bones. I try to respond to at least one good comment a day, but you are very right. Rankins don't matter building our websites, building our lists, holding webinars to with our list members, that is what counts.d
Socializing doesn't make us money. Studying the lessons, following good trainers and even helping where we can are WA activities that can help us build our expertise and even our reputations as someone worth following.
dIn four years, I have never had anyone join me in a program that can help me make money. If that was the purpose of WA it would be a typical SPAMMY site I would want to belong to.
I am here in WA to learn to build and promote better websites. I am currently, thanks to what I have learned here in WA, doing that for my clients. There is rarely a day I don't learn something new and valuable from this incredibly helpful community.

The rankings are fun but really when it comes down to it we are just people, all the same trying to do something none of thought we could do but were willing to go for it anyway. I know I feel that way. I don't know you my friend but if you want to chat let me know.
