Do Not Listen To This Song!
DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS SONG! (While Driving)
No, it's NOT one of mine. (Whew!)
In 2004, a British charity dedicated to road safety, the Royal Automobile Club Foundation, published a study about the most dangerous songs to listen to while driving.
The winner amongst the entire batch of bad-driving songs? German composer Richard Wagner's "The Ride of the Valkyries!"
That's right: This 19th Century romantic composition is more dangerous to listen to while driving than any Heavy Medal, head-banging stuff you could find.
Other songs to avoid while driving included: Prodigy-"Firestarter," Basement Jaxx-"Red Alert," Faithless-"Insomnia," and Verdi-"Dies Irae (Requiem),"
Songs found to be acceptable for (quiet) playing while driving included: Gary Jules-"Mad World," Lemar-"Another Day," Sugababes-"Too Lost in You," Blue-"Breathe Easy," and Norah Jones-"Come Away With Me." (Love Norah Jones!)
A Canadian study published at the same time found that loud music causes 20% slower reaction times in drivers.
The British group had previously discovered that fast tempo music made you twice as likely to run a red light and crash.
Combining dangerous elements in its' tempo, meter, and total composition, the Wagner piece ran away with the "Most Dangerous" title.
So, go ahead and listen to your Classical music, but maybe you should do it at home! (Listening while working on your website is probably safe)

Now that was an eye opener....Valkyries? Haven't listened in a while..will do so when get home.
It's an interesting study. I once read another one. Cows give more milk if classical music is playing.:)
I read another one. It says people who love hard rock are the cleverest. In my case it doesn't work..lol.. (Maybe things I like are not hard enough? hahaha...) :))
I don't like the heavy metal and all the screaming stuff, or the profane rap, but I like most music. :)
Don't like screaming and scratching stuff either, I was rather talking about Deep Purple,Rolling Stones etc. and of course like country songs, blues, etc. Eric Clapton, The Doors, Credence......:))
