A Small Act Of Kindness
It Doesn't Take Much To Touch the Heart Of Another Human Being.
I See It All the Time:
A Little Boy Or Girl Gets Off the Bus At My School, Looking Like Their World Is About To End.
On the Verge Of Tears.
I Squat Down On Their Level and Put My Arm Around Their Shoulder.
"What's Wrong?" I Ask.
It Might Take Two Or Three Minutes Out Of My Day, but It Can Make a World Of Difference To a Child Who Needs a Little Something Extra.
The Next Day, That Same Kid Gets Off the Bus and Sees Me Standing There, With a Big Smile On My Face. He Smiles and Runs Up To Hug Me.
"Good Morning, Mr. Rick," He Says.
"Make It a Great Day!" I Say.
Do You See Why I Like My Job?
It Doesn't Just Work With Kids. Adults Respond To Acts Of Kindness, Too.
Make Somebody's Day!

It'll Not Only Enhance Somebody Else's Life, You'll Get a Lift Out Of It, Too!

Yes, and most of us forget that, continuously, when too much immersed in our little world of concerns....
Don't tell them - fear waits around the corner and instead of going there they might turn around towards YOU. joking.....
Love this, Rick! Both the post and your life philosophy...I try to live this way too...:)
I also work with children and I well understand how little do they sometimes need for their day to be brightened up...Adults are the same, basically...Just a smile, just a kind word said at the right time...Great post, Rick...:)

Yeah, these little things really makes a very big difference in the world. It is sometimes the difference between happiness and misery.
