"All That Glitters."
Is it just me, or is there suddenly a barrage of affiliate marketing all over the place? As soon as I log into YouTube, there's this guy telling you how to make $100.00 dollars a day doing this business.
On another front, this guy is waving $8,00.00 dollars at you telling you how easy he made this money within a few months of launching his affiliate business. For years there was not this kind of push to do, (in some cases, "NOT TO DO"), affiliate marketing. Now that I've settled into my business with WA, these advertisements are all over the place. Did Wealthy Affiliate's success just set off this level of affiliate marketing activity?
Our numbers in membership alone has probably set the table for other companies to try to duplicate what is going on here. So beware!!! Not once has WA promised to make you an instant millionaire. Nor has WA told you how easy this business was to make money, and definitely WA wouldn't state that you could do this without hardly lifting a finger.
If you're a member here, remember to stick to the program, and don't let these so-called "gurus" lure you into changing your approach. The money game sounds exciting and all, and many a time we want to jump ship and board "the money train", but I believe if you stay the course here at Wealthy Affiliate, your financial position would be so much the better.
You know by this time that this company is not a scam, so why take chances with any other? If you must try it out with another entity, can you do so without making a major investment? Just look at the pros and cons of these "instant money makers", and use your better judgment when it comes to time well spent. A few more precious moments here, and NOT THERE, could mean a few more "clicks" generated, and the start of your WA business taking off like a rocket.

Great post-Cornelius, Some of those folks look pretty legit due to there surroundings but I crack up at the people telling you they are making 6 figures when it's clear they are making the video from their bedroom and there is a heap of clothes on the twin bed behind them. I mean come on, how gullible do they think people are?

Your post found me just when I needed it most. Every time I get on You Tube theres some advertisement trying to get me to sign up for some course or order a new book or trying to sell me "that one missing piece of the puzzle" and if I juts get this one thing then I'll be rolling in money for ever and all my troubles will be over...
I have been working on my website for a while and since I have not seen any real and measurable financial success yet, I find these ads somewhat depressing. It's almost as if they can do it and I can't. After reading your post I'm glad i'm not the only one frustrated by these ads. Clearly it all comes down to focus and determination...thanks for your wise words!

Hi Dennis. It's understandable how we could latch on to such high hopes and promises of wealth. I still find myself playing the lottery once in a while.
Display ads are shown to you because of the things you search for. So, you will see a ton of ads for the topics you research.
