However, I did uncheck all my notifications and then checked them again, and it appears to have worked as I got emails this morning. Thanks for responding

I have an old wordpress website that has been stagnant for years - but it has great content that has not been updated, but is still valid.
I would like to revive this site,
An old site with great content. Wow! Sure u must go right ahead. Do add and delate a few paragraphs. It shows Google that updation has been done. Changing a few words is NOT counted as updation.
The search engines like fresh content, Corinne. Perhaps you could update some of your pages at the same time as you convert them to posts.
Actually Marion, something I've always wanted to know, how can we convert pages to posts and vice versa? I would appreciate the help.
There's a plugin for that, Warren: Post Type Switcher. There is no need to keep it once you've finished using it so you can just deactivate and delete it.

If you are using the Post Name structure for your permalinks then the URLs won't change. Your sitemap is always updated automagically by your plugin or WordPress (whichever you use).
