Never Stop Dreaming

I've been in somewhat of a slump due to a family crisis last week. I can breathe now, my 14 year old grandson, is now safe in a facility for troubled teens in Houston, TX, after running away and being on the streets in Houston about (4) days. It's been a terrible experience. I pray he will stay in the program and learn how to cope with life better.

You always think this happens to other children and grandchildren, not yours, but it's happened in our family and we are heartbroken. We can only hope and pray he decides to change and work towards that change.

Thank you in advance for your prayers and concern.

Cora

Blessings to you and your family. The world is a complicated place and I feel for children who struggle to navigate through.
Debbie

Thank you for your support and prayers, I truly appreciate it.

Have a blessed day!

Cora

God bless you Cora! I'm sorry you have had this experience and I feel your pain. I am raising my 16 year old autistic grandson who has on multiple occasions felt he could handle the world on his own. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Please know that every person who believes in prayer will be praying for you and your family for days to come.

Nurselizstar,

Thank you so much for your kind words and prayer. I will also be remembering your grandson and you in my prayers. I know how difficult it can be raising a teenager with mental problems, my grandson has lived with me from time to time.

I appreciate your support.

Have a blessed day!

Cora

That’s really sad to hear. I also pray that they can help him see that there are other paths to pursue.

We can suffer and I think it’s simply because we don’t know how to deal with life and the situations and people that cross our paths.

I hope that they can show him some direction and how to deal with difficult situations.

I am sure he is a good lad!

Thanks for sharing Cora, we don’t have all the answers as individuals but I hope they can set him up for life and help him on his journey!

Wayne

Wayne,

I really hope they can help him, I pray that his heart will be receptive to change. He has to want to change or they can't help him.

Thank you so much for your kind words, I appreciate it.

Bless you,

Cora

Hi Cora,

Hello Cora...so sorry to hear about your grandson’s problems. That is such a tough age, boy-man twilight zone.
I was a single Mom to a son and remember it well.
Thanks for sharing with your WA family, you will receive many positive thoughts and healing prayers for your grandson.
All the best.

KyleAnn,

Thank you so much for your encouragement and prayers. Everything is in God's hands, but sometimes it takes something like this to make us realize it.

Bless you,

Cora

Hi Cora. My heart goes out to you and your family. My family has also had this type of a problem. The collateral damage was great in our situation.
I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
All the best,

Hi Cora... good to know he is safe now...

That's true, thank you.

Yes... keep hope

Hi Cora,
I just want to let you know some kids do things without fully understanding the ramifications especially at the tender age of 14.

I myself, at around that age, ran away from home on a number of occasions no doubt causing undue heartache to my family. I was one mixed up kid and it was only when I joined the army at 17 that I changed for the better.

I have been told by others I'm a decent person and I truly believe your grandson will turn out the same way.

All I can say Cora, never give up on him and one day he will thank you as I did to my mother.

Hi, Steven,

Thank you so much for your encouraging words, I really appreciate it!

Cora

I'm glad to hear your grandson is safe. I have worked with at-risk/troubled teen for many years and their families. I have seen great success. I pray you and your family find comfort during this trying time. I also pray your grandson gets the help he truly needs. Keep us updated on his progress.

Janet
