Finding My Voices and The Courage To Use Them!
Hello, my fellow affiliates!
I have spent many years of working on building my online business, and have had many, many unanswered questions along the way. My membership here at WA is truly providing me with the answers I need to move forward with the vision for my business, and I am settling into the fact that I am no longer alone on this journey!!
I am a God-taught web developer, but the fact is, that although God has taught me what I know thus far; I still need conversation, camaraderie, and community with fellow entrepreneurs who seek to do business built on faith principles. (I'm not supposed to be living on an island of isolation, so your presence in my life is very much a divine positioning!)
My need for conversation with those who speak tech is being met, and I am so grateful to be working alongside all of you!
I'm very, very close to completing a digital product I plan to sell in my Etsy shop, and I am having a bit of a meltdown about it today. I'm having some big emotional upheaval because I can see fianancial success on my horizon.... Etsy, AWIN, Share-a-Sale, and WA is a winning combination that is making that possible for me!!
OYYYYYY!!! Do you see why I am being so hugely impacted today?!
I can see that I am also experiencing some fear of success, so this post is my way of confronting that fear, and declaring that I WILL actually take the steps to launch my dream. My knees are quaking while I do so, but I WILL DO SO!!
I plan to sell a gifted membership in a curated, online directory for homeless liaisons, and I have questions about whether or not there are legal aspects I should be aware of??!
Can I simply sell a directory listing without worrying about attorney's and business licensing and liability insurance?!
Is my site fully compliant, or is there some piece of something else I should put into place before I actually sell the gift certificates for my directory?
Can my business really be as simple as selling a digital product that lives on MY VIRTUAL REAL ESTATE?!!
This is the first in my holiday product matrix, and I am sooooooo excited about it's near completion!! If I understand correctly, fellow Etsy shop owners will be able to promote my product as affiliates, and so... I am keenly aware of all that potential.
I'm VERY detail oriented, so my hesitation to move forward is due to the fact that I'm a fine-tooth comb, and I'm in my final phase of preparation for presentation.
I want everything to look good, be fully set, and not fall apart at the seams when I launch this thing!!!!!!
I must confess, I am really feeling the pressure of being so close to completion, and am walking softly as I bring final details into place. I do NOT want to miss my moment this year...
The holidays will soon be upon us again, and my goal is to help bring joy and laughter to those whose lives are still being challenged by the rigors of homelessness. Thanksgiving and Christmas are big trigger seasons for those without a home, and my own memories of homeless during the holidays is pulling heavy on my heartstrings.
Whew!!
Doing business on the pillars of our faith is about so much more than the technical nuts and bolts, isn't it?!
Okay, I will stop there for now. I am working on writing my product listing today, and I look forward to sharing it live on my site.
Many of you have been extremely helpful as I have been navigating WA, and I'm sure you will have many nuggets of wisdom to share with me. Thank you for being here, and for your hard to work to pioneer this territory of doing business online.

Asking questions has always been my weak point, for I have always felt weak for asking. Yet as having my own business, people asking me questions is invaluable to me for I need them to know their task.
Jesus said it best, Ask and believe it is already yours, and it will.

You do raise some good questions. I am not quite sure about the directory you are creating, but I would make sure to bet permission from individuals or businesses which are listed.
Keep moving forward. It seems like you are very close.

Yes, @drjec, there is so much to be aware of, isn't there?!
I have a fillable form that the liaison's must submit before they can be posted in the directory.
My hope is to have all of the details in place so I can launch for the holidays.
