How do you guys feel about me blogging about sports often, and then also doing product reviews? They could just be products that I like and think are cool. Or would that be to
Cody follow the keyword suggestions in the certification courses taught here at WA. Creating a niche site around a topic you are interested in makes it much easier to get the site ranked. You will find that over time the site will rank for your main keywords and other niche specific long tail keywords that you did little or no promotion for.
It will also make it much easier to sell products on your site because the people coming to the site will be interested in the niche your site is focused on.
It would be taught to sell snorkels and flippers on a site with a domain name like www.downhillskiadventures.com
So are you saying that I should only sell sports related products, or are you saying that if I have a passion in what I'm blogging I can sell anything? Thanks for your time.
Cody the more passionate you are about a topic the easier it is to write about it and as a result your chances of succeeding are a lot great than if you write about a topic you know very little about.
Millions of people are interested in sports so I would think that would be a great direction to go. You could link sports blogs to sports related products at Click Bank for example.

Well for one, you don't want to spread yourself to thin writing about all the different sports out there. So choose 2 or 3 I would say that you are really interested in and focus on those to at least begin with. You can always branch out later this stuff isn't set in stone.
Like me, one of my niches is horses and horse training. I love horses but instead of just doing everything horses I want to help people train their horses. Get a better foundation on their horses. But then I also want to help them understand, because it is a part of learning how to train horses, about natural horsemanship, what is English and western riding, different breeds of horses and how to react to each one.
So yes, I have focusing on training exercises for horses, I also want to include information that is general with horses as well to help them better understand the whole picture.
So maybe you choose the top 3 sports you are into and write about those. And give information about them, maybe some history, how they got big, what it takes to play each one, what they all have in common as a sport. Some ideas for you.
