COVID-19: How Are You Handling The Effects? Pt. 2
Exactly one week ago today, I posted a blog about the state of COVID-19 in my country, Ghana. At the time of writing that post, the official confirmed cases stood at 6 persons.
I termed it "desperate times" for my nation.
Today, exactly one week later, the official confirmed cases stands at fifty-two (52)! Fifty are positive and alive. Two are dead!
I really don't know how to term the situation now...
It's scary to think of what will happen in a month from today.
We have taken strict measures. The major streets and markets have been fumigated. Mass education is constantly going on across diverse platforms. Schools and public gatherings are still banned, most companies now rotate staff to reduce the risk of human contact...but the numbers are still climbing.
Our sister nations on the continent are not having it any easier. The rate of infection in South Africa especially chills the spine. Nigeria, Egypt, Morocco, etc,
It's craziness amplified in Europe and the United States.
When will this "madness" end?
Until it does, please stay safe, all of you.
