How long did it take you to write your first WA blog

As a newbie, I felt intimidated to write my first WA blob post.

When I joined WA in 2015, I had no Internet Technology skills online and very little computer skills.

It took me 22 days to write my first WA blog post; on looking back I did not even use capital letters in the title.

I encourage Newbies to take courage and write your firblogpost.

First you must read the WA rules and take a little time to read several blog posts by WA ambassadors and members in the top 200.

Second read a few by newbies with a few months on the job.

Don’t be afraid to write, You wail feel very relaxed after the first few blogs.

Don’t forget to follow the certification courses step by stem and perform the tasks set.

You can ask any question when you need help, and as Kyle has said-No question is too foolish to ask.

Here is the link to of my first blog.

The first blog is to help you get over your fear of blogging.
Jerry

I remember thinking who in the world would possibly want to read something about me? I truly was shocked when real people actually responded. That was 2 months ago. My last post has almost 100 comments. Pretty cool, Huh!

Excellent; congrats.

The first blog is all about getting over your fear.
Jerry

It took 110 minutes Courtney but it was simple. I'vee put in 3 hours on complex blogs!

What was your computer and IT experience at the time?

That was a typo 10 vice 110 minutes I am quite experienced. It's about getting the WA flavor!

Wow, what a great concept! Encourage newbies with your own firstie! That, in a nutshell, is why so many of us sit at your feet: you care about helping!
Thanks for the reminders and the support!
Tim

Thank you. but I get embarrassed easily.

You are so right! It's been ages since I wrote my first blog, and yes it can be quite scary if you've never done it before. Then the paranoia to post something that is 100% perfect sets in, making taking that first step even harder. Whether our first attempts are right or wrong, we just have to take that first step. Great advice!

Kyles'words were a great inspiration-no question is too stupid to ask.they kind of set the stage.

That is so true! But to be honest, I think many of us are unintentionally trained in life to be afraid to ask certain questions that may make us look like we're stupid. Whether it's the snickering in class or strange looks from co-workers. We're all afraid in some ways of being judged. No one knows everything, and it's nice that WA is such a place where there is no judgment. We're all here to succeed, just the path to success varies from one person to the next.

When I was in primary school you were not encouraged to ask the teacher any questions except for permission to leave the class to visit the little boy's room.

That reminds me of the time I was passed over for a promotion at work, with the reasoning, "You ask too many questions". That comment alone bothers me still to this day, cause how are you supposed to learn if you don't ask?

Good day,
Thanks for sharing. I am Very late for publishing my first post and for too many reasons.....but it will be done soon. Thanks for sharing.
Have a great day.
Jules

Looking forward to it.Best wishes.

Thanks for sharing your experience, my first few posts also needed similar amount of days.
