Why Do People Build Websites?
I observed a youth of 15 asking the question about the minimum age for joining WA. There was a reply stating that WA had members from age 9 to 90.
Why would a youngster of nine want to join WA? Was it for education or was it to earn money on line? I hope it’s for both.`
I am curious as to how many members of WA are age 25 and under, how many are you aware of?
The number of people worldwide building websites is growing rapidly; the need to earn money online if you are out of a job is like a magnet; the desire to supplement one’s income is becoming more and more desirable.
Businesses all over the world has acknowledged the growth in the number of people shopping online, and are creating websites to sell their products.
According to a Forbes. Com report, there are 102,720 US based online Retail Stores on the Internet.
Digital Commerce 360. Com reported that there are 12.24 million online stores worldwide, but only 650.000 generate more than $1.000 in sales annually.
The failure rate in start up businesses is very high, and failure usually occurs in the first 120 days; so make sure you are marketing something that the public wants and don’t give up so easily.
Are you aware that there are over one billion websites on the World Wide Web, but according to reports about 75% are dormant, just sitting there.
As we would say in West Indian lingo`-“The internet business is no sweet bread”
Accept the challenge, fight on; even if you fail 9 times, your success is in the tenth.

We have what most online webmasters don't, and that is WA to educate us, and guide us. Easier, and more enjoyable to persevere here. Tom

Absolutely, building your own website is a surer way of online success. This brings to one of my blog. There are many 'DO IT FOR YOU' websites out there, but these websites are not really your own, and you cannot control it. The owner can pull plug on it anytime. And remember when two friends built YouTube then, they were able to sell it to Google simply it was their own. No such opportunity exist for all these 'DO IT FOR YOU' websites. There's tremendous opportunity in building and owning one website.
