What is the correct verdict-writing content.
Judging from some comments that I have observed, some members are of the view that a blog should be at least 500 words.
My experience in reading blogs unless the subject is captivating I tend to skip through long articles; my preference is short and to the point; or break articles into sections.
Templates
In the process of creating some of my content; there is an introduction format, I am receiving an alert about uniqueness; the important part of the content changes completely; am I correct iin publishing anyway .
My content for this caset does not require 500 words and I am not interest in padding.
Is there a particular reason why the minimum words in the templates is 500.

I short posts and are ranked by Google. If a post is ranked you don't have to worry if it's short or long.
Hello,
This is more important if you are adding affiliate links. If you don't have links in a post it is not so important to have a long post.
The more links you have per post, the more content (words) you need so that Google does not penalize you for looking 'spammy'.
I agree with you in general. I don't like a post of 2,000 or 3,000 words when 500 will get the point across.
At times people seemed to feel that Google was rewarding these extra long posts with higher ranking. I don't know if that is still the case. The algorithms are always changing. A post that is too short will still be penalized though from my understanding.
I just write what I want to write and don't worry about the length. If I have a lot to say on a certain subject and it takes 1,000 or 1,500 words then great! If I can get my point across in fewer words I don't pad it to add more. Most of my posts are at least 600-700 words though and some are over 1,200.
In general it will be safer to err on the side of longer rather than shorter length for Google ranking when we are talking about numbers in this range. I am sure a post less than 500 words will have a harder time ranking in general.
I am not going to strive for the 5,000 word posts some are advocating though!
