What Is A Good Balance
On reading some WA Blogs I cannot help but observing that some members including myself are struggling with having to make choices.
My use of the computer began in 2013, mainly to type articles in word and research information; premium membership of WA started in 2015, at a time when I knew nothing about internet marketing technology and very little about the computer; almost all of my internet needs were outsourced.
Upon joining WA I followed both the certification courses and the affiliate Bootcamp courses.
After Irma and the lost of internet services for almost four months, my ranking fell from 60 to over 500.
Striking A balanceIn the past months it had climbed back to as high as 59.but I was faced with a challenge, circumstances forced me to spend more time on my websites; including approaches from publications and marketing websites for images or information.
I just received a copy of a calendar with one full page, both back and front featuring myself and wifey, all the images were taken from the website; All at no cost to myself.
During the past week I observed visitors walking into the gallery with cell phones opened on my website; one couple from as far as Japan, who said there were preparing an article for a publication
It brought home the importance of a website; One publication just sent me an image taken directly from the website.
In order to spend more time on the websites some of my WA activities suffered.
Should WA compensate for Site Health?

Interesting thought. However since rank is meaningly outside of the WA community, the most important priority should be if our website is doing what we want it to do and seems like yours is doing very well. I would be satisfied with that for sure. - shirley

After having been away from the WA community for a while...off running other errands...I am finding it hard to resist connecting with the wonderful community here! However, I do believe applying focus to your business and websites is the better of the first focus, then community.
Just as we teach our children, get your work done first :)

I have to agree with you, but I love connecting with the community but there is a greater demand on my time, now that I am the only staff at the gallery.and still creating for the gallery where my exhibits comprises over 50 % ot the showroom . Thanks for sharing you thoughts.

I don't feel that strongly, but community activities are part of the success of WA. That is why I think a balance might be wise.I value the contributions of members like yourself, Loes and Marion. recognition of website development could provide a balance.Thanks for expressing your thoughts.

Thanks for sharing, we cannot lose sight of what makes WA so successful. but unless we are earning all is lost.
I try really hard to accomplish both but there are days where I just can't do a whole lot within the community. I just try harder the next time.

My website is my second priority after my family. I set a time to work on it and if something comes up and I cannot find the time, I feel lost. I think this is because I want to see success.
Success is what we all strive for, but we must not forget the path to that success.This is the reason I am searching for the right balance; I hope admin has given some thought to the issue.Thanks for sharing.
