This morning I spent from 7am to 10 am iworking in my studio, then spent 10.30 am to 2.30 pm typing an article in word for one of my websites.

Took a break and went to a beach bar to listent o some music with wifey and a friend who is visiting from sweden,

Returned home at 5pm and completed the 1100- word article at 6.30 pm and tried to copy it from word to transwer it to the website

when i hit command v only 2 lines appeared.

Went back to word and I had only saved the two lines; I felt like crying but all i can say is -what a day, what will be will be!

Is there anyway you can retrieve an unsaved document on a Mac Book Air?

Oh so sorry about your mishap, hope today goes better.

Went a lot better, especially using site content. Thanks for the support.

Glad to hear you had a better day.

Wow, sorry to hear about your incident. Unfortunately I am not familiar with Mac, but perhaps searching for some help on tool bar may provide some insights to where to start. Good luck.

Thanks I was given some helpful pointers; I was more upset about the lost time, I could have carved a bird in that time.

Oh, I hate when that happens and it has happened to me more than once. I am not a Mac person but hopefully, you will get some positive responses very soon. Good luck.

Wayne

Thanks but lesson learnt; Site Content next time.

Wow, I never tried to use Mac Book, only Microsoft Windows.

Have you ever lost written content? makes you feel like a fool.

So far I did not experience.

Sorry to hear you lost the article. But i do not understand why you only saved two lines. I din’t use a Mac. But in Microsoft word when you save an article the entire article gets saved.

The article was on several pages, I thought I had copied all the pages, the 2 lines were on the last page. i will have to be more careful next time or always print first.

Courtney, sorry to hear your efforts met with misfortune and wish you well in clearing this up.
As for my day, I recently finished a post on my profile page that was in the form of a book review... quite nice, but before I pushed to publish it, thought better to check back on blogging rules
Sure enough this might very well have gotten tagged as Spam. So I'll have to publish it elsewhere.
...by the way Should I be using Site content to author these posts on my profile page?...Not sure that this feature transfers content to my page here. Appreciate your input

Greetings, sometimes things happen for a reason, so I try not to question but just accept.
In Site content you can post your article on any website , there is also a window for author.
You should try it and learn all the features, great addition to WA platform.
Best wishes.

Site Content checks for duplicate content right before publishing -shirley

Check out that default location it talks about.

I know on the pc the backup docs used to have a .BAK extension but that's been a while back.

Thank you , will do.

I think that MS Word itself has an autosave, you might check. - shirley

I hope you get it back.
Jerry

Thanks, I will love to get it back; I have already started rewriting, but must look for the autosave.

UGH! I'm so sorry!!! Wish I had a magic answer, but I don't. However, I just wanted to commiserate with you.....I've had it happen myself. Hope tomorrow is a better day!

Lisa

Thanks Lisa; -what will be will be- is a mind set.
