Updates In Training Courses
Affiliate Bootcamp
On Saturday afternoons after closing the gallery at 1pm I would spend the remainder of the day creating Art. Today I was not in the mood for art so I spent the afternoon revising the Affiliate Bootcanp training courses.
That decision;was a happy one. There were some aspects to the training that any member who joined WA in 2015 might not be aware of, unless they are in the habit of updating their training.
Maybe the long layoff due to Irma might be a factor, but I seen to miss the discussion concerning the plugin Akismet; I was alerted to it in a comment posted by Loes, then read a blog by Kyle where he raised the issue of greed.
Akismet is still on my websites; Can someone please explain the issues in detail and what action if any should I take.
There was also a new plugin that I had never heard of unless I missed it in the early training -EWWW Image Optimizer seem to be just as importanf as all in one SEO.
When and why was this plugin introduced as one of the two preinstalled Plugins..
Can someone please give me an update on the two issues..

I understood we did not need Akismet because it was duplication security already supplied by Wealthy Affiliate.
Anyone else turned off Akismet for that reason?

The Akismet plugin issue was quite some time ago. The upshot is to deactivate and delete it. It used to be free but not anymore. SiteProtect is now taking care of spam comments on websites hosted here at WA. Make sure you've got it activated.
Optimizing images is very important for website loading speed. If you don't have an image optimizer plugin then install EWWW Image Optimizer. Then bulk optimize all the images in your Media Library.
