Hurricane Irma as felt in Anguilla
Even the large uprooted trees that are left to feed from a few strands of roots are refusing to give up.
Lack of funds and building materials are retarding the recovery process. The church is one of the many buildings that are still as Irma left them.
A barge with heavy equipment ,poles and materials for digicel,- one of our two communication servers -was not able to offload before the hurricane was found on one of the shores in the bahamas.

Wow. Sounds like your island took the brunt of Irma. Best wishes for a fast and full recovery.
Wow. You folks on those Carib islands are so vulnerable to those storms. All we really have to worry about here in Missouri is an occasional tornado, and a little winter weather.
yesterday I went for a dip in the ocean and a walk and was thrilled to hear Bankie Banks sitting on the porch of his roofless new villa, his Dune Preserve beach bar and entertainment center, and home of moon-plash where Jimmy Buffett once gave a concert -completely destroyed.
Great news, spirits are up! The resilience of human beings never fails to astound me! Stay well.
So sorry to hear about the distress caused by Irma. I know the feeling of devastation after a hurricane, because I live in Jamaica. It is good to remember that the hurricane came to pass, and piece by piece, nature puts back things in place. I hope your recovery happens quickly.
