Do You Still Want to Start a Family.

One of my sons told me he has no intention of bringing a child into this world; I know of several other young people who share his sentiments.

Who is guarding the house?

If you have been following the global news, you must be concerned.

Climate change is having its impact the world over; scaricity of water, heat waves, coastal erosion, floods, melting glaciers and more.

To top it all, a report by Oxford Economics predicts that up to 20 million manufacturing jobs could be lost to robots by 2030; this would way heavily on lowerskilled workers and the poor. These workers will have difficulty finding other jobs.

Who cares? a tiny few will make more money and the rest can starve.

Automation is developing better and faster; no one is stopping to think.

Are we going to give every unemployed global worker $1000.00 per month?

I want to work, don't you,? if only for my physical and mental health.

Who is going to pay?

Populations explosion must be controlled. Your son's decision is wisdom this time, if he would change there would be other wisdom to teach him what is right and practical for a given time.

I cant say I disagree with him. the anxiety I suffer in relation to my 2 sons and 2 daughters.

I hope they are working or employed.

3 are well positioned and working, the most creative son is self employed?LOL.

I would like to have 1 kid or maybe 2 but honestly we can't afford it and are not healthy enough for it. When we can we will adopt. It takes all we can do to stay afloat financially and have a decent life. My health problems mean that I have to worry what will happen if I can't keep a regular job. So for the meantime, we work as hard as we can to get set up in life so that if I can't have a regular job we will be ok. We have rental property, manage another rental building and work on websites as well as have full time jobs in state government. There is no time.

It is sad that it takes so much time and money to live now, having a a family is difficult. The people I know with kids are either on public assistance or rich. Most middle class people don't feel like they can afford it.

That is becoming the norm. Fewer and fewer people are having kids in the middle class now. They are also waiting much later to have them as they try to gain financial stability first.

I hope we can get all this put together and then adopt a child however. There are many kids that need good homes and I think it is a bit selfish that people think they only want a kid if it is THEIR kid by DNA.

It is a scary world but those kids will be out there whether they get adopted or not. So I think we should provide them a better life.

I applaud your sentiments. The world can be a tough place and we are not doing enough to make it better. Take care of your health, you might want to look at my wabsite-aboutdiabetesnstrokes.com. The foods we eat are so important. Best wishes.

You have a lot of great information on your site! I am aware of many of the topics you have but there are so many! I grew up eating from our own large gardens. It was wonderful. My Dad believed in only organic gardening methods. He was the one that taught me so much about being healthy. He always said aluminum in cooking pots was dangerous as well as microwaving plastics (and microwaves themselves). I look forward to spending more time on you site.

Your Day was or is a wise man. You are a lucky lady,

Sorry about the typo - Dad

Yes, I will continue to bring children into this world.

Every challenge is an opportunity.

Bravo! what more can I say.

Good evening Courtney,

No, thank you. I never did and now I am too old.
I am adding one other reason why it would be a bad idea to start a family. Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

I have been terrified of 5G ever since we talked about it Taetske. They are installing it here right now!

Good evening Jessica,

It has arrived in Malaga too. Michael and I are now wearing those little shield gadgets as protection.
Just now I forwarded an email on what Google has done, our freedom is flying out of the window.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Where do you get the shield things and how do they work?

The one I have is Swiss made but they do not ship outside. I do have a widget on the sidebar on both websites of another shield company. Difficult to explain, I would call it like a protective aura around the body. I also have my Himalaya salt lamp but that only helps in my workroom. This thing I wear around my neck and at night it is next to the bed, it is said to be effective for 1 meter.

All the best, Taetske

I will look at your site Taetske...if they don't ship I might ask to send you money to buy one for me and I will pay you to mail it to me!

Good Morning Jessica,

When I bought this from the Swiss company they had no affiliate program so afterward I found this other one. I think the technology behind it must be the same or similar forming a protective shield around the person or even your home. We opted to each have a personal one because then, also when you are outside you are protected. I read that the blood picture changes with radiation, seen under the microscope and that with the protection it gets back to normal. I just wonder why we do these crazy things to ourself.
Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

WOW thanks for sharing. I just made a reply on your page. Who said we were the top of the animal chain. How stupid can we get?
The carton said it all.
Send us some rain, even my aloe plants are looking pitiful, can barely afford the water bills. All the best.

Thanks. I will have to see if anyone is making them here yet. That could be a big business someday! Maybe you can set up some deal where you buy and ship them until they are available here.

Sorry, Courtney, Europe is suffering a heat wave. Here in Spain, the last rain was in April, not likely to get rain till October if we are lucky September.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

I am sorry both of you are in such droughts! The weather is definitely changing. We are 20 degrees higher than normal for this time of year here! We are setting many records all the time. It was ridiculously warm in March which should still be winter (snow) here but we had green grass.

We cannot control. It's too big for us. All attempts to domesticate nature has turned against us.

We wanted to control population and now we have declining population.

We wanted to put nature under our feet and now we have all sorts of environmental problems.

We can't be subjected to nature and we can't subject nature either. I think we must rethink our lives and find a middle path which respects what we came to find.

Our only answer may be a new education, use caring for your favourite plant as an example. Thanks for sharing.

I feel happy and optimistic about the future, and yes ... I'm happy to have children, a grandchild, and hopefully more in the years to come.

Lucky to be so positive, Keep it up.

Courtney,

Thanks for posting and sharing this, it has been the focus of my blogs for months here now.

We may not agree on all points you've made, but the shifting and emerging trends should awaken everyone here at WA and to see in them opportunities to help out, inform, educate, empower and rescue as many people out there from the impending and irreversible automation and collapse of the corporate employment as we know it.

I pray that many more will.

Blessings!

I share your prayers; I try to be positive but I only feel it when I sit by the open door of my studio carving wood with the butterflies bees, birds and ground lizards looking on.

Courtney,

Wish I was there, I have spent a decent amount of time in St. Maarten.

Here is what I posted today, independent from your post but on the same topic: Blessings!

Thanks for sharing the link. I am struggling with the thought of Debt creation. It . It's with you almost all your life if you get into the game. The thought of Politicians is also weighing heavy; There must be an alternative way of government with zero tolerance for corruption.

Much like your son, I too have decided I won't be having children in my lifetime. A bold statement at 21 years old, but I digress. Housing is too expensive, food and bills cost a lot of money, and I have too many dreams of traveling the world and having a nice stable income to even think about children.

The world is in rough shape and needs fixed soon.

It's a shame to have such thoughts in 2019, but you have my understanding. Blessings.
