It would be very revealing to take a global poll of how many people are happy in their current jobs.

If comments made here at WA Is anything to go by, i think the number of unhappy people will be staggering. i am amazed at the number of members at WA who are looking for an alternative way to earn an income, or to supplement their current incomes, and are hoping online marketing will answer their prayers.

What this tell us is that the current employment opportunities are not meeting the needs of the average family.this will pose a problem for governments world wide and could result in the rise of social problems, especially among the youth.

Future societies could be faced with many drastic changes. Supposing online marketing is successful in providing families with a better income,it could result some of the following; many people no longer looking for jobs, the creation of huge warehouses, smaller and fewer retail stores, negative impact on small businesses, creative and innovative ways of shipping, and many changes on how commerce is conducted.

Some of these changes are evident in my small community of about 12000 inhabitants, the local post office has accomodated a growing business in online shopping mainly from the USA, local retailers are hurting as a result.

we are faced with another problem which clearly demonstrate the magnitude of modern day challenges. fifty percent of bank loans are non performing loans, people just cannot afford the payments anymore, reduction in salaries, loss of jobs and higher cost of living among the reasons.

The signs are evident, i hope Governments all over the world are establishing THINK TANKS to evaluate the impact of the COMPUTER, the INTERNET and MODERN TECHNOLOGY will and is having on our WORLD and provide possible solutions to meet the challenges.

Just catching up on a backlog of emails and came across this one. I feel compelled to put my two cents in. I work 30 hrs a week in the hardware retail business and I ENJOY helping people who come into our warehouse for something but they don't know what it is. Every day is a challenge sorting out peoples problems and requirements. I meet MANY new people every day and most leave me in a happier state than when I first met them. This make ME happy. Now ask me if I intend to keep doing what I am doing? Hell NO!!! here is better out there and I WANT it. But for the time being while I am getting it I am HAPPY. Regards Ken

The impact on our existing world is huge. I for one find the whole thing mind boggling! Spending my life in lesser populated parts of the states, the impact of changing economy, or lack of rainfall, the slowdown in oil and gas production, all have their results. Anytime you drive through a deserted little town, it is a reminder that people had to leave to seek work elsewhere. The effect of the internet will enable people to live where they want, and still have access to making a living as well as buying supplies and goods that they want. It shall be interesting!

Good comments, that why WA is so appealing and will continue to grow at a rapid paste, i will not be surprised if others try to follow or lodge attacks on WA. Hope reigns; Best wishes.

I'm one too, who can't wait to be done with my job. I am not a happy employee. I only work two days a week now, but am looking to retire in a few months. :)

Have been employed for the past twenty seven years, but have nothing to show for it. This is the more reason am here to have an alternative source of income and at least to prepare for my retirement which is at hand. Thanks for sharing, all the best God bless you.

We have to lobby for employers to improve benefits rather the withdraw them, i don't know how we stop this runaway train. As my wife will say- i am holding good thoughts for you Judy.

Employee???
Not..!

I stopped being an employee when I transitioned to another career.

Are you an employee? anyone who is can start to set examples.

We are currently going through a gigantic shift in thinking thanks in most part to the technological revolution. No other time in human history has this been so influential. Knowledge is power, people's expectations have changed for ever more. The concept of being stuck in the 9 to 5, is rapidly becoming redundant.

You see it all the time. When you talk to the two younger working generations attitudes and expectations have changed. If employers don't find a way to meet those expectations there will be big problems down the road.

I've never been employed by anyone since 1969 and have been retired for 13 years so I'm not really qualified to comment.

Square pegs in round holes is something that comes very much to mind here...I doubt very much there are a majority of people who are in the jobs they love, just about getting through the day I'm guessing.
There will be those in vocational careers, my daughter is one as a Veterinary Surgeon, who will love their work but the rest...well, just getting through the day as I said is probably all they get.
